Theme: God Will Comfort You

Text: 2 Corinthians 7:6&7

 6 Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming but also by the consolation with which he was comforted in you when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me so that I rejoiced even more.


In yesterday's devotion, we learned that when we are troubled on all sides we should respond with the power of God because He can deliver directly or use any of His vessels to do so. The Apostle Paul was comforted by the coming of Titus and the news he brought concerning the desire of the Corinthians to meet with Paul and their penitent response to the Apostle Paul's rebuke. God is always in the business of bringing comfort and encouragement to anyone who trusts in Him in good and bad moments. Dear beloved in the Lord, God will bring you good news that will bring a turnaround in your situation if you look to Him in all circumstances. If you make a conscious effort to be grateful when the times are good or bad, you remain resolute in seeking God irrespective of the situation. Your choice in the Lord will bring you great rewards because He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God will never fail to comfort you.


PRAYER: Thank You Lord for comforting me at all times with messengers of good news. I commit the challenges of my marriage, nurturing of children, finances, projects, career, health, ministry, education, and every sphere of my life to You. Please comfort and encourage me in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
