Theme: Rejoice and Weep with Others

Text: Romans 12:15

 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.


There are basically two sides to life at every stage; we could face the good times or the bad times. Whatever it may be, we need to embrace it in light of what it presents. If those around us have good news, then join in the celebration and rejoice with them. Likewise, if bad news surfaces weep with them. If you do not respond well to people's plight, you may be seen as unfriendly or mean. In some settings, you could even be tagged as an evil person which is not a good mark of a Christian. Do not just present yourself to rejoice or weep with others, be involved by helping them and give your support in kind or cash to support such individuals in their moment of joy or sorrow. Be the Christian that rejoices with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 



PRAYER: Dear God, I desire an awakening in me that stirs up my spirit to know what to do for my family, friends, and neighbours in their good and bad moments. May I not miss the moment in the lives of those around me but rather be a vessel of God to bring the aura of God into their situation for good. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
