DEVOTION ~ AVOID PARTIALITY

Theme: Avoid Partiality

Text: James 2:1

2 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.


Anyone who decides to follow Jesus must be ready to do away with anything that brings division (to distinguish or discriminate against people of races, colour, status, etc...). This is because, in Christ, we are all one so there are neither Jews nor Gentiles. We cannot claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if we favor some people over others. That contradicts our faith in God. We must hold our faith in Christ with unconditional love to show we are sons and daughters of God. 


PRAYER: Dear God, help us to hold our faith in Christ Jesus with unquestionable love. Help us to overcome the instances that often push us to be partial to our fellow human beings who are less privileged. May partiality never be mentioned amid the body of Christ. This we pray in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
