Theme: The Lord Will Keep You

Text: Psalm 1:6

6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. 



In previous weeks' devotion, we have been learning about the godly and ungodly. The text for today brings the curtain down on our study and gives an overview of the end of the godly and ungodly. A godly person walks in the will of God so the Lord watches over his going out and coming in as well as his lying down and rising up. Evil cannot overpower such a soul because the mighty Hands of God keep him from destruction as the Lord will not give him as prey to his adversaries. This soul also attains eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Unfortunately, this is not the same case with the ungodly. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. Therefore, any soul that treads the ungodly path is heading for destruction. Dear beloved in the Lord, Which way are you on, and is the Lord with you on this path? If He is not, it is not too late to return to Him and walk with Him. Repent and seek Jesus so that God can watch over His Word concerning every sphere of your life and bring you to an expected end of glory in the Name of Jesus Christ.


PRAYER: Lord, I desire to walk with You in every sphere of my life (ministry, marriage, nurturing of children, education, career, finances, business, projects, etc...). I surrender every area of my life to You and plead that I am delivered from the destruction that awaits the ungodly. Thank You, Lord, for saving me. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
