DEVOTION ~ REJOICE CONFIDENTLY IN EVERYTHING

Theme: Rejoice Confidently in Everything

Text: 2 Corinthians 7:16

 16 Therefore I rejoice that I have confidence in you in everything.


The Apostle Paul had every reason to rejoice and be confident in the church of Corinth because he had come a long way with them in the knowledge of truth in Christ Jesus. We need to build confidence in others through the Word of truth so that the bond of trust can keep us together under the same mind in Christ Jesus. The text began with "Therefore" to emphasize that the Apostle Paul had done his work well and so had every reason to affirm the statement that follows the word "Therefore". If we do not train our children or disciple new converts well, we will not rejoice or have confidence they are firmly rooted in the Lord. However, if we diligently lead them in truth, then we will confidently rejoice in all things they do. 


PRAYER: Dear God, let Your rod and staff guide me in the path of truth, and may I also guide all those that I encounter in this truth. If I am not leading my children, friends, family, or new converts in the right way, nudge me and show me how I must go about it. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
