Theme: Called the Friend of God

Text: James 2:23&24

23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.


We all have friends and are happy to associate with them. For some, their joy in friendship is because of the status or fame that their companions are known for. However, there is a better friendship in the Lord. Abraham believed in God, it was accounted to him as righteousness and he was called the friend of God. He had an association with God by trusting every word of God for his life. There were no doubts or disbelieve in his relationship with God and so became a friend to God. Do you desire to be a friend of God? Keep His commandments and believe in Him: both (keeping God's commandments and believing in Him) require work to be done. Dear beloved in the Lord, if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you are in the right direction to be a friend of God. Remain faithful in your confession and God will be your companion forever. 


PRAYER: Lord, help me to believe You as Abraham even when it looks blare on all sides. I pray to be filled with the righteousness of Christ in my words, thoughts, and actions. Thank You, God, for being a friend at all times. In the Name of Jesus have I prayed. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
