DEVOTION ~ KEPT IN GOD'S NAME

Theme: Kept in God's Name

Text: John 17:11&12

11 Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept, and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled

In yesterday's devotion, we learned that we need to offer a divine prayer for all our subordinates just as Jesus did for His disciples. The divine prayer of Christ for His disciples further stated that the disciples be kept in the Name of God. Why would He pray the disciples be kept in God's Name? According to Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe". Whatever God has entrusted to us can only be preserved in the Name of God. Your marriage, children, family, career, and everything you possess even your every life can only be preserved in God's Name. Take note, Judas Iscariot is the son of perdition. His involvement with people outside the circle of Jesus Christ took him out of the protection of God and exposed him to the dictates of the devil. Dear beloved in the Lord, if you are kept in the Name of the Lord the fulfillment of scripture in your life ends in glory but if you take the route of Judas Iscariot, you will perish.

PRAYER: Almighty God, keep us in Your Name and deliver us from the path of perdition. Thank You Jesus for keeping us in the Name of God, in Your Name have we prayed. AMEN!
