Theme: A Prayer for You

Text: John 17:20&21

20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.



Amazingly, we've been looking at the prayer Christ offered for Himself, His disciples, and all believers in this chapter. Today's text commences His prayer for all who believe the Good News. Dear beloved in the Lord, Christ has prayed for you and this prayer will never fail because it is a prayer of faith. His prayer is that we may be one with Him and the Father if we accept the Gospel and believe. If we are one with God, then the devil cannot harm us. Those who plot evil against us will marvel at why their evil charms keep failing. The secret is that we have become one with God so our victory lies in Him, not by our natural strength. This affirms the authority of Jesus Christ that the world may believe that God sent Him to redeem perishing souls. Kindly task yourself today to share the Gospel with at least one soul so that he/she can also benefit from this prayer.  


PRAYER: Thank You Lord that by Your prayer I am made one with You and the Almighty God. May my faith increase daily to believe that I may reach out to others to come under Your saving grace. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
