DEVOTION ~ SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE

Theme: Sheep of His Pasture

Text: Psalm 100:3

3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.


A parent takes pride in watching his/her children play around and develop into responsible adults. Likewise, does God expect us to grow in knowing Him as our Father. He is God over all creation. As children cannot disregard the fact that their existence is made possible by their parents, so we cannot eliminate the fact that God created us in His image. Acknowledging the Lord as God is to reverent Him and obey His commandments with the understanding that our lives are accountable to Him as sheep of His pasture. The sheep knows the voice of the shepherd and obeys him. Jesus is our Shepherd and we are the sheep of His pasture so we must discern His voice to attain salvation and eternal life. 


PRAYER: Dear Lord, I acknowledge You are the Sovereign God and the Creator of all things. Thank You for making me in Your image and for identifying me as a sheep of Your pasture through Christ Jesus. May I reverent You in all that I do and keep Your commandment to love. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
