DEVOTION ~ FOLLOW ME

Theme: Follow Me

Text: Mark 2:13&14

13 Then He went out again by the sea, and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them. 14 As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.

In this technological age, lots of people make use of social media handles and are either following or being followed. Amazingly, Jesus also had followers in His dispensation as He went about teaching. There isn't much difference despite the age gap: In our days, we invite people to follow us likewise Jesus invited Levi the son of Alphaeus to follow Him. The choice to accept or not depends on the individual receiving the invitation. Levi accepted the invitation to follow Jesus Christ. Dear beloved in the Lord, how are you responding to the invitation to follow the Messiah? Do not be sluggish in accepting to follow the Messiah but rather rise up like Levi and follow Him.

PRAYER: Dear God, thank You for inviting me to enter into Your rest. I pray every shackle in any area of my life that is holding me down preventing me from hearkening to the voice of the Messiah to follow Him fall and break. I accept to follow You all the days of my life. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
