DEVOTION ~ REDEEMED BY GOD'S HAND
Theme: Redeemed by God's Hand
Text: Nehemiah 1:10
10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.
Nehemiah's prayer is drawing to a close and he keeps his request politely and constantly reminding God what He has said concerning Jerusalem and its inhabitants. Dear beloved in the Lord, Nehemiah keeps a record of the redemption from the bondage of Egypt however, our redemption is in the great work of Christ on Golgotha. When we approach God to pray, we must understand we are His servants (sent out to proclaim the Gospel) and His people (coheirs with Christ). Therefore, we must pray to receive the power to proclaim His glory and ask that we be preserved in the strong Hands of God. The Blood of Jesus is speaking life over our destinies because we have been redeemed by the great power that raised Christ from the grave and the strong hand of God that lifted Him up to heaven. Fear not for you are the redeemed of the Lord.
PRAYER: Thank You heavenly Father that I am both Your servant and Your child by the redemptive work of Christ on the cross of Calvary. I pray Your great power and strong Hand shall keep me safe at all times even in the darkest moments of my life that I shall fear no evil. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
