DEVOTION ~ DIVINE EXCHANGE
Theme: Divine Exchange
Text: Acts 3:14&15
14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
In yesterday's devotion, we learned that Jesus is the glorified Servant who was betrayed. In the text for study today, we will look at the divine exchange that took place right before Pilate and all the multitude that kept seeking that Christ be crucified. Have you ever faced trial or had to witness in the dock in the courtroom? How did you feel? I guess many who had to face trial or witness in the dock for the first time were frightened and just didn't know what the outcome would be. Jesus the Holy One stepped in for us when we should have been pronounced guilty. The murderer that was exchanged Barabbas represented us all who stood guilty before God. Yet the Prince of life gave His life that we may be pardoned and receive life to the fullest. In the physical realm, we saw what took place in the spiritual realm through this divine exchange - the innocent for the guilty. Christ did not remain in the grave but rather has been raised to life from the dead on the third day. The atoning Blood of the Lamb of God has acquitted us so we are no long damned if we believe in Him. What guilt is weighing you down? No need to carry that luggage anymore because Christ has exchanged your guilt with His liberty. Clemency has taken effect both in the physical and spiritual therefore, you are no longer guilty: Drop the burden!
PRAYER: Thank You Father for sending Jesus Christ to exchange my guilt for His righteousness. Prince of life have Your way in me and grant me the soundness of heart, mind, and strength to live life to the fullest to Your glory. I decree I am no longer guilty because a divine exchange took place on my behalf in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
Amen 🙏🏽
