DEVOTION ~ GLORIFIED SERVANT

Theme: Glorified Servant

Text: Acts 3:13

13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let Him go.

In yesterday's devotion, we learned that many marveled at the healing of the lame man of which Peter revealed to them it is not by their power or godliness that he was healed. The text for today introduces us to the source of the power to heal the lame man. He began by first acknowledging God and His established relationship with them all (The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers). He further throws light on the godly One, Jesus Christ. He is the glorified Servant of God whom they delivered up for trial and denied Him in the presence of Pilate. The glorified Servant of God though had the chance to have been pardoned, yet His accusers sought to frustrate it. Dear beloved in the Lord, let the life of the glorified Servant Jesus be an example to you that battles are bound to present themselves in our lives. The glory of God we carry shall attract opposition but it is not our place to wage war rather we must trust God to have His will done in our lives.

PRAYER: Almighty God, I submit to You today, guide me through the works of the Holy Spirit to live at peace with all. Deliver me from revengeful thoughts and actions even when betrayed. Thank You that Your glorified Servant is a good example to me. In the Name of Jesus Christ have I prayed. AMEN!
