DEVOTION ~ HOUR OF PRAYER

Theme: Hour of Prayer

Text: Acts 3:1

3 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.

The apostles continued in a purified devotion of not neglecting the gathering of the believers. Usually, the believers go to the temple to pray at the hour of prayer: 6am, 9am, 12 noon, 3pm, and 6pm. In our dispensation where our schedules seem to overweigh us, most of us have given up on prayer. Prayer is of the essence in our spiritual and physical journey as Christians. Failing to pray exposes us to the evil arrows of the wicked. Dear beloved in the Lord, we need to schedule the hour of prayer either corporate or solitude. The duration of the prayer should not be a challenge as if we willed to communicate with God, we can even in less than a minute. Let us learn from John and Peter to keep to our prayer schedules. Pray without ceasing!

PRAYER: Almighty God, I humbly ask for spiritual nudging to embrace prayer and to pray without ceasing. May I pray in solitude and also touch many to pray as one body of Christ. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. AMEN!
