EASTER DECLARATION ~ TRIUMPH
Theme: Triumph
Text: John 19:30
30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
The text for today will look at the word of triumph spoken by Jesus on the cross when He said "It is finished". He endured the pain, agony, and shame on the cross that He might give us victory. The Greek word translated as "It is finished" is tetelestai. Indeed Christ has conquered and given us victory on all sides. The fulfillment of the new covenant was established on the cross by the shedding of the Blood of the innocent for the guilty. The burden of the high priest to enter into the Most Holy place in fear has been overpowered. Our own flaws which have become a barrier to directly accessing God have been removed for us to enter into His presence in boldness. What Christ awaits after nailing all burdens to the cross is the resurrection. He has fulfilled every prophecy and so His declaration it is finished is a triumph cry of the mighty work of salvation. Dear beloved in the Lord, what is your burden in life? Christ has conquered it on the cross so you need not allow it to weigh you down. Rise up and speak to the burden it is finished and it has no hold on you again.
Let us Pray: Thank You God that I can boldly declare "It is finished" tetelestai to every stubborn challenge in every sphere of my life. I declare victory on all sides and I triumph in my going out and coming in from this day forth in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
