Theme: You Will See Him

Text: Matthew 28:7&8

7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” 8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples' word.


In yesterday's devotion, we learned the angel declared to the women that the Saviour had resurrected. In the text for today, the angel gives details of where they will find the risen Christ. The Lord relocated to Galilee ahead of His disciples. The angel tasked the women to make haste to inform the disciples so that they could meet Him there. The Lord in this dispensation is not at Galilee but everywhere and if hearken to the promptings of the Holy Spirit we shall see Him. Obedience and trusting the Holy Spirit to instruct us in the way of the Lord plays a vital role in our encounter with the risen Christ. If you desire to see the Lord, avail to the will and direction of the Holy Spirit in all that you do. Reach out to as many as you can and let them know Jesus is risen. 


Let us Pray: Almighty God, direct my heart to the things of the Kingdom so that I shall behold Your glory. Help me to hasten to share the Good News with all in the smallest way I can. I invite the Holy Spirit to have His way in me. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
