Text: Matthew 28:2

2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 


The entrance to the tomb of the Saviour was heavily guarded by soldiers and a big stone was used to close it to prevent the disciples from having access to the body. What the religious leaders did not know is that nothing can prevent the power of God from manifesting. When the time came for the Messiah to resurrect, there was a great earthquake for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came to roll back the stone from the entrance to the tomb and sat on it. If the presence of just an angel caused an earthquake, what will happen when the Holy Spirit appears? Dear beloved in the Lord, the resurrection of Christ should stir up your faith to speak to every barrier or limitation in your life to roll back. The big stone (your challenges or limitations in life) cannot continue to hold you down because the Holy Spirit our Teacher, and Guide indwells us. By His presence, the stone must roll back to give way for you to enjoy the blessings of God. I pray with you today that there shall be a shaking in the spiritual realm to remove the barriers in every sphere of your life. 


Let us Pray: Almighty God, You are great and You possess an awe presence. Thank You for quaking the earth to roll back the stone of limitation to the tomb of Your Only Beloved Son. I ask that this mighty power shall shake what ought to be shaken in my life and grant me liberty on all sides in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
