DEVOTION ~ ARE YOU PERPLEXED?

Theme: Are You Perplexed?

Text: Acts 10:17&18

17 Now while Peter wondered within himself what this vision which he had seen meant, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon’s house and stood before the gate. 18 And they called and asked whether Simon, whose surname was Peter, was lodging there.

In yesterday's devotion, we learned that Peter had a trance and was asked to kill and eat unclean animals on a sheet but he objected and was told not to call what God has made clean as unclean. In today's and subsequent devotion, we will explore the aftermath of the trance and how God has divine reason for the trance Peter had. When Peter became conscious of himself, he became perplexed about the trance. Have you ever been perplexed about something unusual? I guess your response would be of course. We all have been perplexed by the unusual issues of life one way or the other. But our response determines the result or outcome of what we are perplexed about. God has a divine way of ordering our lives because He is not a confusionist. At the time Peter was wondering about the meaning of the trance, the men Cornelius sent had reached where he was lodging. Dear beloved in the Lord, whatever God reveals to you has a significant meaning. You can only tap into it if you focus on God rather than what has been revealed. God reveals to redeem and He has been in this business right from the time of the Patriarchs to our dispensation. Hand over your mess to God and a glorious message shall come out of it.

Let us Pray: Dear God, help me out of my state of perplexity. Send Your angels to give me insight on how to understand and come out of this state. Grant me the spirit of obedience that I may obey You wholeheartedly. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
