DEVOTION ~ DIVINE INSTRUCTION

Theme: Divine Instruction

Text: Acts 10:21&22

21 Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, “Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?” 22 And they said, “Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you.”

In yesterday's devotion, we learned that the angel instructed Peter to go meet the men downstairs without doubting anything. In the text for today, Peter meets up with the men and gets to acquaint with them and to know their mission. The response of the men affirms what the angel told Peter that he had sent them. Dear beloved in the Lord, if you are spiritually conscious, you will never fail any divine instruction concerning your marriage, conception, nurturing of children, family, ministry, businesses, career, projects, and other areas of your life. There is a word from God concerning your life that you must hear. Until you submit to God, and resist the deceit of the devil, the word cannot reach you. You ought to study the word and avail like Cornelius. He is described to be a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews. Are your ways just? Do you fear God? Do you have a good reputation among true believers? If your response to these questions is no, then you need to reconsider your ways in the Lord. Talk to God about the things that hinder your obedience to His divine instruction and make a conscious effort to hearken to His voice always.

Let us Pray: Almighty God, grant me a listening spirit to be attentive to Your divine instructions. May I fear You in all my ways, so that my ways will be just, and earn a good reputation in whatsoever I do. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
