DEVOTION ~ DOUBTING NOTHING
Theme: Doubting Nothing
Text: Acts 10:19&20
19 While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Behold, three men are seeking you. 20 Arise, therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.”
In yesterday's devotion, we learned that Peter was perplexed about the trance he had, and just then the men Cornelius sent arrived at where he was lodging. The text for today concerns the voice of the Holy Spirit instructing Peter. The Holy Spirit is our guide and He instructs us in truth therefore we need not doubt His leadings. He was right to inform Peter that three men were seeking to meet him downstairs. Cornelius sent three men; two of his household servants and a devout soldier to go quickly and ask Peter to come to his house. The Holy Spirit enlightens us that, it is not Cornelius that sent these men but rather He did. Dear beloved in the Lord, the Holy Spirit can use anyone to relay a message to us so we must learn not to underrate anybody. Peter is to go with them without doubting although he does not know where he is even being sent to. We must never challenge the directions of the Holy Spirit with doubts for doubts punch holes in our faith bags. If we avail ourselves of the service of God faithfully and zealously, we will also experience this awesome encounter in whatever we do because the Holy Spirit will divinely lead the way and we shall never make mistakes along the way. When the Holy Spirit takes absolute control of our lives, we need to possess a heart of doubting nothing.
Let us Pray: Holy Spirit of truth and light, guide me every step of the way as I pilgrim this earth in my marriage, nurturing of children, family decisions, education, career, ministry, businesses, projects, and every sphere of my life. Give me a believing heart to trust You in all things doubting nothing. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
