Theme: God Shows No Partiality

Text: Acts 10:34&35

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth, I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.



We serve a Living God who is just and does not in any way show partiality because His judgment is right and fair. In Christ, He has openly given access to His presence so that we can boldly approach Him. If we open the doors of our hearts to Him and welcome Him in, He will come in and dine with us. He accepts those who fear Him and who keep to righteousness. God is calling unto us to be obedient and to resist the urge to sin so that we can supernaturally encounter Him. Cornelius a Gentile encountered the Lord whereas some Jews never had the opportunity. It does not matter where you come from, if only you will surrender to God and live according to His will and purpose for your life, He will ensure He honors you like Cornelius. Note that just as He blesses those who do good, He equally punishes those who do evil. 


Let us Pray: Thank You Lord for the grace to approach Your presence. I pray for a willing spirit to be obedient to Your Word and to live righteously for Your glory. Please accept me as one of Your own and may Your will be done in my life. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
