Theme: Angels Will Protect You

Text: Psalm 91:11&12

11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.


In yesterday's devotion, we learned that our secured dwelling place is solely in the Lord. Today's text assures us that God will charge His angels over us at all times. In the realm of the physical, people of high social standing employ the services of bodyguards to ensure their safety. However can these guards be helpful in the realm of the spiritual? Guess your response is as good as mine, absolutely no. The provision of angels to keep us in all our ways is to ensure no evil comes near us. As we learned yesterday evil can only come near us after defeating the Lord which is mission impossible. The angels shall hold us in their hands so that we do not make deadly mistakes, or fall in the snare of the wicked. Dear beloved in the Lord, you shall never dash your foot against a stone for God has made provision for angels to protect you.


Let us Pray: Dear God, ever at my side, thank You, for charging Your angels over my life. I pray they bear me up lest I dash my foot against a stone in my marriage, career, education, nurturing of my children, finances, businesses, contracts, projects, and all spheres of my life. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
