DEVOTION ~ ARE YOU AFRAID?
Theme: Are You Afraid?
Text: Psalm 91:5&6
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
In yesterday's devotion, we learned that God shall deliver us from evil traps and deadly diseases. Today's text is the psalmist's assurance that there is no need to fear if you are secured in the shelter of the Most High. Are you frightened by the sight of the wickedness of the wicked? You don't have to for the Lord is your refuge and fortress. The wicked schemes evil at any given time whether by night or day; dawn, morning, noon, twilight, evening, and deep in the night. The wicked terrify people by night, they shoot arrows of untimely death, affliction, pain, unforgiveness, bitterness, discord, and all manner of evil arrows by day. As we awake to have a quiet moment with God and to seek His face, they shoot arrows of evil against people by satanic enchantment. In the night, they attack people with deadly diseases in nightmares and on their beds. By noon their evil destructions begin to manifest against those who fail to take refuge in the Lord's shelter. But we who have the mark of the Blood of the Lamb and abide in the shadow of the Almighty, shall not be afraid of their satanic agenda. Decree you are secured in Christ therefore you shall not be afraid.
Let us Pray: Thank You, Lord, that I abide in Your shadow therefore I shall not be afraid of the wickedness of the wicked. I decree the operations of every terror of the night, the arrow of every that flies by day, the pestilence that walks in darkness, and the destruction that lays waste at noonday expire in my life and family. We trample them underfoot in the Name of Jesus Christ have I prayed. AMEN!
