Theme: God Will Deliver You

Text: Psalm 91:14

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known My name.



In yesterday's devotion, we learned that we shall trample underfoot every fearful and deadly challenge life presents us with. The text today enlightens us that God shall deliver us based on two key things: First, we have set our love upon Him, and second, because we know His Name. To set our love upon the Lord is to be obedient to every instruction He gives us. We do not just say by lips that we love the Lord but our actions speak volumes of how we love Him by keeping to His command. The Name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous run into and are saved. It is also recorded that, by the mention of the Name Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue in the heaven, earth, and the sea confesses that He is the Lord. So, our deliverance is in loving God and trusting His Name as a strong tower. Dear beloved in the Lord, because you have set the love on God and you hold dearly the Name of Jesus, you are delivered from every form of attack the wicked wage against you. Declare in the Name of Jesus I am delivered from marital challenges, ill health, poverty, career stagnation, failures, recurring evil, and all satanic agendas against my destiny.  


Let us Pray: Dear God, stir Your love in me daily, and may I find refuge in the Name of Jesus Christ in all spheres of my life that seem dark and void. I speak in the Name of Jesus I am delivered from this darkness and void. I receive the deliverance of God and let there be light in my life to set out the manifestation of all my expectations. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
