Theme: Secured Dwelling Place

Text: Psalm 91:9&10

9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling


Have you ever spent the night in the open? If you have, I guess you will recall how uncomfortable and scary the night was being alone or even with company. You are constantly on the lookout for reptiles, thieves, or evil thereby unable to enjoy a sound sleep. This trauma did not just affect your night but also messed up your day because of the aftermath of the night. The text for today is a continuity of why no evil shall come near you from the previous devotion. If you make the Lord your refuge and your shelter, no evil shall befall you nor can any plague come near you. Do you know why? It is because the evil must defeat the Lord first before it can have access to you. Fortunately, the devil has been defeated over and over again by the power of God. Dear beloved in the Lord, your sure secured dwelling is in the Most High God. Your health, marriage, children's well-being, education, career, finances, projects, and all areas of your life can only be well secured in the Lord. Make the Lord your refuge and shelter. 


Let us Pray: Come Holy Spirit and dwell with me for I surrender the fields of my health, marriage, children, education, career, finance, businesses, projects, and all other fields of my life to God and I take refuge in Him and dwell in His shelter. I decree no evil nor plague shall come near me and all that God has blessed me with. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
