Theme: The Shadow of the Almighty

Text: Psalm 91:1&2

91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”


To dwell in the secret place of the Most High God is to find yourself in His shelter. In the shelter of the Lord, you receive divine shade under His shadow. This protects you from the hazards of life and keeps you secure all the time. In confidence, you can agree with the psalmist that God is your refuge and fortress. A refuge is the state of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or difficulty. Whereas a fortress is a military stronghold, especially a strongly fortified town. In God's dwelling, these two apply concurrently and none shall fail irrespective of the adversary's strategy. Dear beloved in the Lord, with this mechanism at play when we dwell in the secret place of the Most High God, we ought to trust Him fervently. You dwell in the shadow of the Almighty God so trust Him to keep you safe and secure. 


Let us Pray: Dear God, thank You, for the provision to dwell in Your secret place and to abide under Your shadow. You are my refuge and fortress and my trust is in You. Please secure me and my household in our health, marriages, finances, education, career, and all that You have blessed us with. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
