Theme: Unprofitable Care

Text: 1 Corinthians 13:3

 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.


Charitable deeds done with an intent other than love are nothing or unprofitable. We are admonished to be cheerful givers and to take care of the poor amongst us. If we decide to bestow all our goods to feed the poor as a means of showing off, the blessing of the Lord does not locate us for we have received our rewards from men (refer to Matthew 6:1-4). In the same vein too if we offer our bodies to be burned but have no love, it profits nothing. Jesus laid down His life out of love an acceptable sacrifice for the remission of sin. 


Let us Pray: Almighty God, grant me a willing spirit to do my charitable deeds in love. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
