Text: Revelation 2:8

8 And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life


The next church we will discuss today is the church of Smyrna. The Lord Jesus Christ addresses Himself as the First and the Last, He who was dead and came to life. Indeed, Jesus was in the beginning, for He was God's spoken Word that brought everything into being; "Let there be...". He will also bring everything to an end on the Day of the Lord where He will gather together the faithful saints. Christ died for our sins, but He is alive, for He rose for our justification, and lives to make intercession for us. Through His death, Christ purchased our salvation to attain eternal life. Dear beloved in the Lord, this letter to Smyrna is to our dispensation as well as we await the return of the Lord the second time. How worthy would you present yourself before the First and Last, He who was dead and now lives? 


Let us Pray: Almighty God, thank You for revealing Yourself to me. You are the First and the Last in all things, help me to embrace Your presence in all things from start to finish. I pray You breathe the fullness of Your life in me to attain eternal life. This I ask in the Name of Jesus. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
