Theme: Hold Fast to What You Have 
Text: Revelation 2:24&25

24 "Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast what you have till I come."



In yesterday's devotion, we learned that Jezebel the prophetess of doom has misled the servants of God in the church in Thyatira. The text for today clarifies that not all of the servants of God have embraced this evil practice of adultery and idolatry. The message of God comes to such undefiled individuals to hold fast to what they have till the second coming of Christ. Dear beloved in Christ, although moral decadence exists in our society, we must ensure we don't engage in them. We are not accountable to human beings but to God and He knows even the secret things we do. Never try testing the depths of Satan for it is a slippery slope that will sweep you to destruction. God will also keep to His word not to burden us if we do not accept such an ungodly doctrine of adultery and idolatry. Let people make fun of you because you choose to live godly for there's a reward that awaits you. 


Let us Pray: Almighty God thank You for the assurance of not burdening me as I strive to live godly in a world where ungodliness abounds. Please help me by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit to hold fast to the truth and live godly until You come. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
