DEVOTION ~ REMEMBER

Theme: Remember
Text: Revelation 3:3

3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

In yesterday's devotion, we learned that the church in Sardis ought to strengthen what remains as it seems alive but dead. In the text for today the Lord admonitions it to remember how it has received and heard the Word of knowledge. The church is also encouraged to hold fast to the truth and repent from ungodliness. Dear beloved in the Lord, remember how you used to take delight in reading, studying, listening, and sharing the Good News. How well are you faring in that regard? If you can only boast about what you did in the past, then wake up and shake yourself off every limitation and seek the Holy Spirit to empower you once again to do greater exploits for the Kingdom. Aside from the Kingdom, as God for direction to lead your home and all that is entrusted to you in the will of God. You can never tell the day Christ will return so never procrastinate the moment to set things right if not, He will come like a thief when you least expect it.

Let us Pray: Almighty God, stir in me a divine awakening to remember how zealous I was in the things of the Kingdom so that I can hold fast to Your truth and repent of my unpleasant ways. Please, help me so that I won't be unprepared for the day You shall come. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
