DEVOTION ~ WHO IS AT THE DOOR?

Theme: Who is at the Door?
Text: Revelation 3:19&20

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.

To have access to someone's house you need to knock and be granted permission if not you could be addressed as a thief if you enter uninvited. There's a special door to our lives the door to our hearts. Christ daily stands at the door to our hearts knocking and hoping to be granted access inside. There's an assurance that if we hear His voice and open the door, He will come in and dine with us. Are you ready to allow Jesus to dine with you? He always comes to the door of our hearts to prompt us to repent. All this while, we've been asking who is at the door to our hearts. Today, Jesus is saying He is the One. Because He loves us, He rebukes and chastens us to realign our ways to His and walk a blameless life. Embrace the Lord's discipline and invite Him in.

Let us Pray: Almighty God, thank You for disciplining me in Your amazing love. Help me to repent and do the right thing. I invite You into my heart as You knock at it. Please come in and dine with me and vice versa. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
