DEVOTION ~ VESSELS FOR HONOR

Theme: Vessel for Honor
Text: 2 Timothy 2:20
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour. 




Growing up, there are plates and cups set aside for visitors. These items are only washed, used for visitors, and kept safe for another opportune time. The apostle Paul used a similar analogy but with a great house, the Lord's. In the house of God, there are vessels of gold and silver and wood and clay. We are the vessels in the house of God. Our services in the house determine whether we are vessels for honour or dishonour. If we present ourselves worthy in Christ, that's living to please and serve God, we shall be vessels for honour. However, if we are lukewarm, then we shall be vessels for dishonour. Which vessel are you? 




Let us Pray: Almighty God, have mercy upon me for not availing myself as a vessel for honour. Holy Spirit help me to live to please and serve God all the days of my life. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
