Text: Revelation 3:21&22

21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” 



Today's devotion brings to a climax the epistles to the seven churches and concludes with an assurance to the church in Laodicea. Early on, the church in Laodicea was described as lukewarm and admonished to repent. Anyone who repents by overcoming lukewarmness and becoming zealous for the Lord is assured Christ's Throne. When kings, queens, and government officials are inducted into office, it is eye-catching. They are not just offered seats but are adorned to suit the position. Likewise, will Christ adorn us and enthrone us on His very seat if we persevere and overcome lukewarmness. Do not harden your heart when the Holy Spirit speaks to or instructs you on any issue. Hearken to His leading so that you can sit on the Lord's throne. May God deliver us from the self-reliant, compromising lukewarmness that marked the church of the Laodiceans!



Let us Pray: Almighty God, deliver me from the self-reliant, compromising lukewarmness that marked the church of Laodicea. I repent of my former ways and invite the Holy Spirit to take total control of my life. Please, Lord, may I be found worthy to sit on Your throne. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
