Theme: God Understands
Text: Psalms 139:2
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off



In previous devotion, we learned that God knows us very well. The text for today elaborates on how God understands our thoughts from afar. Understanding what we intend to do, God can tell us what we decide. God knows when we are settled and anxious in our hearts. Therefore, he knows what actions we intend to take for our settled or anxious hearts. Cain failed to heed the Lord when cautioned in Genesis 4:6&7 “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Dear beloved in the Lord, like Cain, most people have failed to hearken to the Lord's warning which has led them to self distractions. Whatever your desire is in life, commit it to God and trust Him to bring it to perfection because He understands your thoughts far off. 



Let us Pray: Almighty God, You know when I am settled or anxious in heart (my sitting and rising) please help me to entrust every worry to You. Help me to have a settled heart and mind so that I can excel in all that I do. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
