DEVOTION ~ A HUMBLE PRAYER

Theme: A Humble Prayer
Text: Psalms 139:23&24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.



In a few days, the year will come to an end. We need to retrospect on the resolutions we started the year with. How far have we fared in keeping to our targeted goals and aligning our ways to the Lord's? The psalmist humbly prayed to God to search him inside out and gracefully deliver him from ungodly ways. Dear beloved in the Lord this humble prayer is so deed, it wounds us but brings healing in Christ Jesus if prayed sincerely. The Spirit of Truth reveals our flaws and guides us to the way everlasting. Our quest as the year ends should be to stand in the Lord's ways and see, ask for the old paths that lead to the good way of pleasing God, and walk in it. Then we will find rest for our souls.




Let us Pray: Almighty God, I know I've never kept to the promises I made to You in the year and the prior years. Please have mercy upon me and help me to turn to the godly path in life and to abide in Your everlasting life. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
