Today is the first Sunday in the year 2025. Most of us have written down numerous resolutions for the year. Unfortunately, in the years past most of these resolutions could not be attained fully because we gave up along the line. However, there's good news for this year referenced Proverbs 16:1-3 "The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits. Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established". It is also recorded in Proverbs 4:13 "Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; Keep her, for she is your life". Dear beloved in the Lord, if we diligently seek God with our resolutions, we shall have a glorious end. 


Declare, in the Name of Jesus Christ I lift up prayer over my life and family and ask God to be with us in our resolutions for 2025. As we prepare in our hearts what we desire for 2025, may the perfect will of God be established. O! God, I commit our desires to Your care and pray they are granted in Christ. I decree in the Name of Jesus that any weapon of disobedience released into my life and family in the past years or 2025 be broken. You have no hold over us again. We receive the spirit of obedience and walk in godliness. I declare, in the Name of Jesus Christ, that the power of God takes hold of my life and family in this year, 2025 and beyond. He shall establish us both at home and abroad. We shall prosper in all spheres of our lives without any contention because our ways shall please the Lord and He will cause our enemies to be at peace with us. This is settled in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
