DEVOTION ~ EMBRACE DIVINE POWER

Theme: Embrace Divine Power 
Text: John 10:17&18
17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”



The ability to lay down ones life and take it again is solely in Christ. Some individuals have tried to be put to death so they can resurrect again but they failed woefully. Charms could be used by these individuals to prevent bullets, cutlass wounds, and other weapons from penetrating them, but once they die, they have no power to resurrect. However, Jesus have demonstrated that He has power even over death itself. He laid down His life through the death on the cross and took it by means of the resurrection on the third day. Death could not hold Him captive for He is the Lord of Lords. Dear beloved in the Lord, entrust your soul to Christ so that He will grant you eternal life. 


Let us Pray: Almighty God, thank You for laying down Your life for me and taking it again through the resurrection. I entrusted my life to your care and declare no one shall take my life and that of my family. This is settled in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
