DEVOTION ~ PERSISTENT IN PRAYER
Theme: Persistent in Prayer
Text: Matthew 7:7&8
7 Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
The virtue of patience, coupled with persistence in prayer, is required of us as children of God. We are admonished in today's text to ask, seek, and knock. This should be done persistently. In this fast-moving era, we often want the easy way out rather than the correct and pure process. No wonder our fast food is giving us trouble with our health. To keep asking in prayer implies never getting weary with prayer or on a specific prayer topic. Your request will be granted when you least expect it, and that's how God shall surprise you. As we ask, we ought to put faith in action by seeking. If we pray for wisdom to excel academically, we ought to seek wisdom by studying. We must not allow fear to discourage us from writing our exams; that is the door of excellence we are knocking at. As the examination is taken, we are knocking on the door of excellence to open for us. Dear beloved in the Lord, your persistence in prayer requires the acronym A-S-K (Ask, Seek, and Knock). When we apply all three, we shall receive, find, and the door will be opened unto us.
Let us Pray: Almighty God, I lay my desires before You. Grant me the grace to persist by asking, seeking, and knocking so that I can receive, find, and the door to my desires be opened. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
Thank you for allowing me to ask ,seek and knock on your door everytime to come unto you JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH 🙌🙌🙌😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏
