CHARACTER STUDY ~ LYDIA
Lydia is a Greek name that means "beautiful one" or "noble one". She was a merchant of expensive purple cloth. She was a believer in Christ.

√ Lydia was a merchant of expensive purple cloth in Philippi. She sold for a living, which must be an example for us to find genuine work in life.
√ Lydia was a believer. It was said that she listened to the Apostle Paul, and then the Lord opened her heart, allowing her to accept what Paul was saying. She was baptised with her household. She lived out her faith to the fullest. Let us learn to walk the talk of faith.
√ Lydia was hospitable and invited the apostle Paul and his companions to her house. She persuaded them to be her guests, saying, “If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my home.” And she urged them until they agreed.
