DEVOTION ~ DIVINELY ACQUITTED

Theme: Divinely Acquitted
Text: Romans 8:33-34
33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

To be acquitted, according to the Oxford Dictionary, implies to free (someone) from a criminal charge by a verdict of not guilty. The Ultimate Judge is the Lord God, and He determines who is guilty or not. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour, God drops every charge against us. Therefore, no contrary opinion will be accepted as a charge against us. If God does not hold a charge against us nor condemn us, nothing can do otherwise. Christ, our advocate, is constantly interceding on our behalf.

Let us Pray: Almighty God, thank You for not pressing any charge against me or condemning me. Spirit of Christ, take absolute control over my will so that I may please the Father in all things and not be accused or condemned. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
