DEVOTION ~ ASTONISHED BEYOND MEASURE

Theme: Astonished Beyond Measure
Text: Mark 7:35-37
35 Immediately, his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly. 36 Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it. 37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

As the curtain draws down on the seventh chapter of Mark, we see how wonderful it is to petition God. The man we learned about in yesterday's devotion received his healing immediately after Jesus prayed for him. This was astonishing to those who were present. Yet instead of allowing the people to spread the good news, Jesus charged them not to; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it. Dear beloved in the Lord, the crowd mentioned that Jesus has done all things well. This implies He can do the same in our lives, too. If the deaf could hear and the mute could speak, what's impossible with the Lord? Let us channel our worries to the Lord for a turnaround. Do not be deceived, there's no hope for your situation. You will be astonished beyond measure if you hand it over to the Lord. He is an expert in making the impossible possible.

Let us Pray: Almighty God, I bring my worries in my health, relationship, family, finances, education, career, and all areas of my life before You. Please bring healing and restoration. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
