Theme: Defiled From Within
Text: Mark 7:14-16
14 When He had called all the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear Me, everyone, and understand: 15 There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. 16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”



In today's devotion, Jesus highlights what truly defiles a person. His point is, there's nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. Christ is correcting the religious leaders not to presume because the disciples did not wash their hands before eating, that they have defiled themselves. In subsequent devotion, we shall see in detail the things that defile us from within. Although we are defiled by things from within, we also need to take our health seriously and be mindful not to eat with unclean hands, as well as unhealthy foods (junk). 



Let us Pray: Almighty God, fill me with the Holy Spirit to have a balanced life so that I'll be mindful of what comes out of me and also be serious with my health. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
