DEVOTION ~ EPHPHATHA: BE OPENED
Theme: Ephphatha ~ Be Opened
Text: Mark 7:32-34
32 Then they brought to Him one who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and they begged Him to put His hand on him. 33 And He took him aside from the multitude, and put His fingers in his ears, and He spat and touched his tongue. 34 Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.”
Day in and out, we are constantly seeking medical assistance for our loved ones who are challenged by their health. This has existed since time immemorial. A group of people brought a man who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech to Jesus for healing. Amazingly, Jesus didn't create a spectacular scenery but rather took the man aside to heal him. Many have failed to give God the credit in the healing process and have credited the healing to their own potency. Dear beloved in the Lord, Jesus looked up to heaven, that's to God and sighed to show His empathy towards the man before declaring "Ephphatha" which means "Be Opened". There'll be divine openings in your life if you look up to God and place a demand before Him.
Let us Pray: Almighty God, divinely open the doors to my miracles, breakthroughs, testimonies, and all that concerns my uplifting. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
