Theme: The Unknown Hour Text: Mark 13:32-37 32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” The glorious Day of the Lord is not known to anyone. It is therefore necessary we all live each day fulfilling the will of God. Beloved, yes, there's a Glorious Day of the Lord, but have you also considered you're more likely to meet it earlier than expected? The sure way is when we fall asleep (die). Having been forewarned that the day is unknown to anyon...

Theme: The First to Cast the Stone  Text: John 8:7-11 7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” The Battle of the believer is great and needs careful self assessment to ascertain your stand in the faith. Many have become quick at condemning and pronouncing harsh judgement on others. Dear beloved in the Lord, the passage for today is one for us to be mindful of our harsh pronouncement on othe...

Theme: Fasting Right  Text: Isaiah 58:6-7 6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, a nd that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Fasting is good and it strengthens us as believers in the Lord. It should not just be done to become a routine or ceremonial thing. It should rather be done in a good way that glorifies God. In your moment of fasting, reflect and forgive someone, flee every enticing sin and do good. Must we therefore exhibit these holiness only when we are fasting? No, it should be our way of life. Be kind, forgiving, generous and shine as light always. Are you planning a fast? Invite the Holy Spirit to have fellowship with you and prepare you for the journey. Receive grace to accomplish your God give...

Theme: Renewal of Your Mind  Text: Romans 12 :1-2 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. As dear children in the Lord, we need to always exhort each other in the knowledge of the gospel. The knowledge of who we are help us to firmly hold on to the Lord's command. Paul exhorts the church in his time which is equally relevant to our dispensation. To present your body as a living sacrifice calls for total surrender and holy living. It's an embodiment of service to God. It is just not a service but a reasonable service. The command in Leviticus 1:10 says, ‘If his offering is of the flocks—of the sheep or of the goats—as a burnt sacrifice, he shall bring a male without blemish.' My empha...

Theme: Victory in the Lord Text: Psalm 20:7-8 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. 8 They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright. In what does your strength lies? Is it wealth, beauty, wisdom or your outlook? Victory is the Lord's, so, rely on Him at all times. The things we tend to rely on to take us to our destination usually isn't profitable since it could fail. However, when we trust in the Lord, then we can be hundred percent sure of victory. When you commit all issues to Jesus, relax and your testimonies will flow endlessly. Prayer: Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, from Thy riven side which flowed, be of sin the double cure, save me from its guilt and power. AMEN!

Theme: Living for Christ  Text: Philippians 1:21-24  21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. 24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. Our existence in this world is a journey. Everyone will surely come to the end of his/her journey according to specific time and will of God. Account will be rendered on what has been done by each individual. What account will you give? Have this mind with the Apostles Paul, that if you are home on this earth, you will dedicate your life to the service of the Lord. Proclaim the Gospel of salvation to the perishing and lead them to the Light of the Lord. Beloved in the Lord, look around you and begin to ponder over the souls in your community, workplace, among friends, etc. Are they saved or they ...

Theme: God is Merciful Text: Psalm 130:3-4 3 If You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. God is merciful and his mercies are new every morning towards us. No matter how sinful you are, God is ready to welcome you in, if you confess your sins and repent from them. We can't save ourselves, we need the Lamb of the Lord to redeem us. Christ has paid the price in full. Ours is to draw near to the Throne Room of mercy and we shall be forgiven. Your sins ain't mightier than the Blood of Jesus shared on Calvary Cross. The blood shows forth God's deepest love for a perishing world and His merciful heart to welcome to Himself all who are penitent like the criminal assured of paradise on the cross (Luke 23:43). Fear God and obey His commandment.  Prayer: Merciful Father, enlighten me not to take Your mercies for granted and teach me to embrace Your gift with all joy and repentance even now and forevermore ...

Theme: Faith Text: Luke 18:40-43 40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, 41 saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.” 42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has made you well.” 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God. Dear beloved in the Lord, all you need in this life's journey is faith. Our Lord said, whatever we ask in His name shall be established if we do not doubt. Build your faith on the Word and promises of God. The blind man came before the Lord in faith ignoring all accusing and condemning voices. He replied the Lord's question specifically on what he wants Him to do for him. Have faith when you're putting your request before God and He will work it in your favor. Show forth your crazy faith this weekend, do not look at the situation, circum...

Theme: Divine Escape  Text: Psalm 124:1-8 1 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” Let Israel now say— 2 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, 3 Then they would have swallowed us alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; 4 Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul;  5 Then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.” 6 Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. 7 Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;  The snare is broken, and we have escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Beloved in the Lord, imagine how your world would have been without the Hand of God. The Lord is always there in moment of distress, trouble, and even working behind the scene in our unseen battles. We ought to be grateful to the Lord. Our adversary the devil and his agents are constantly roaring like lions seeking who...

Theme: The Battle is the Lord's  Text: 2 Chronicles 20:15-17  15 And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. 17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” Dear beloved in the Lord, our battles in this age is not physical that we should use guns, chariots, and other elements of the flesh. It is very spiritual. It is for this reason, the Apostle Paul exhorted the church in Ephesus, their battle is not carnal but against principalities, powers, rul...

Theme: Arise oh God! Text: Psalm 68:1-6;34-35 Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. 2 As smoke is driven away , So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God. 3 But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. 4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Yah, And rejoice before Him. 5 A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. 6 God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land 34 Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, And His strength is in the clouds. 35 O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God ! The Lord is filled with power and strength. When He arises, His foes have n...

Theme: The Penitent Spirit Text: Psalm 32:1-5 1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long. 4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah 5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Beloved, Christ has paid for our sins. So we are at liberty to come before His Throne , for what reigns in us is the Spirit of Truth. However, most believers turn to shun the every presence where their source of life exist for unworthy things. When you fall in sin have a penitent heart to return to the Lord. Sin is very enticing but its end result is death. There's no such thing as big or small sin. Sin is s...

Theme: Make a Joyful Noise Text: Psalm 100:1-5 1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Believers in the Lord, when our praise goes up to the Lord, we break barriers, yokes, chains, and all forms of bondage in our lives. Making a joyful noise means, the noise is meaningful and worth it. This means, if your joy is in worldly things, it is meaningless and not worth it. Let every service to man and God be done in cheerfulness or gladness. When you come before the presence of God, you ought to appear in all humility and reverence to God. In His presence, you ought to show fort...

Theme: The Word of the Lord Text: Psalm 119:89-93 89 Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. 90 Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides. 91 They continue this day according to Your ordinances, For all are Your servants. 92 Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction. 93 I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me life. In His faithfulness, the Lord keeps to His promises made to us. The Lord's Word comes forth like rain/dew, it does not return to God void. Till the purpose for which the Word was spoken is established, it can't return to the Lord. He kept His promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), David and all the Apostle of old. He will do same with you too if only you can trust Him. The promise of the Holy Spirit did not fail and so hold onto the Lord in faith. There's nothing too hard for the Lord. If you don't have the support of the Lord, you...

Theme: The True Christian Life Text: 1 Thessalonians 5 :16-22 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil. A believer's joy should not be conditional, it is for that reason, the Apostle Paul states that we ought to rejoice always. Your joy does not come from the world but from the Lord. Remember, the joy of the Lord is your strength so rejoice always. Don't let the devil steal this grace from you cunningly. Your rejoicing should be accompanied with prayer. Prayer should be a part of you at all times as you can't go a day or a moment without talking with the Father of all creation. Whenever you come before God, be grateful. You can't learn to give thanks if the Father's love is not in your heart. Likewise greed and pride won't allow you to be...

Theme: A Chat With God Text: Psalm 5:1-2 Give ear to my words, O Lord, Consider my meditation. 2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. Prayer is a means of communicating with the Lord. Developing a positive attitude towards prayer is building your relationship with the Lord. You learn to know the Lord and trust in Him even when situations look impossible, if you daily have a chat with Him. Trust all you have to God's care and He will keep you from evil and harm. Beloved in the Lord, another week has began. Commit the week into God's hands and ask for grace to have a fruitful week building a healthy fellowship with the Lord. God bless you and hear your cry for help speedily. Prayer: Teach me o God, how I may build a strong fellowship with You and proclaim your goodness to the world in Jesus' name. AMEN!

Theme: Wait Upon the Lord Text: Isaiah 30:15-18 15 For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not, 16 And you said, “No, for we will flee on horses” -Therefore you shall flee! And, “We will ride on swift horses” — Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift! 17 One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, At the threat of five you shall flee, Till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain And as a banner on a hill. 18 Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. True rest comes from the Lord. Our physical rest can't be compared to the rest in Christ Jesus. For He has called unto us to come rest our burdened souls before Him (Matthew 11:28-30). The call to return...

Theme: Be Thankful Text: Psalm 134:1-3 Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the Lord. 3 The Lord who made heaven and earth Bless you from Zion! It's a new month and you're privileged to be among the living. Many had plans for this month but are not alive to accomplish them. If you still have breath, you have to be thankful. Let your praise go before the Father this evening in honour of all that he has done and will do in your life. Lift up hymns and other songs to declare the goodness of the Lord. Praise Him and you will be blessed. Prayer: O for a thousand tongues to sing. My great Redeemer’s praise. The glories of my God and King. The triumphs of His grace. AMEN!
