Theme: Beware of the Wicked Text: Proverbs 4:14-15 14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. 15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; Turn away from it and pass on. Wicked people can be likened to sons of destruction. There are many wicked people out there who do not even acknowledge their ways are evil and wicked. You need to be aware of such people. The sixteenth and seventeenth verses of this chapter gave instances of the wicked one: 16 For they do not sleep unless they have done evil; and their sleep is taken away unless they make someone fall. 17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence (Proverbs 4:16-17) . The wicked doesn't find pleasure in good things for it is not their nature. Their desire is to hurt and afflict others with pain, sorrows and misery. Do you have any association with people of this kind? If you do, then you need to disassociate yourself from them. Do not engage yourself in any of their ways. Dear belove...

Theme: The Lord’s Holy Temple Text: Habakkuk 2:20 20 “But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” The temple of the Lord is no longer a physical building or tent but has been divinely transformed into the body of men. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 enlightens that; 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. Beloved, the Lord's temple is now you as a believer. You need to keep it holy and clean at all times. Habakkuk 2:20 is an auspicious statement meant for our dispensation for the Spirit of God now rests in us and no more in tents built by human hands. It implies if your body is the temple of God, then His presence should bring about some quietness or silence in its reverence. What then needs to be silence in us? Dear beloved sin must be silence in us. The sin of rebellion, presumptuous sins, ...

Theme: Watch Your Ways Text: Proverbs 13:6 6 Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless, But wickedness overthrows the sinner. It is good to live righteously. It safes you from self destruction. In doing good to others, you also enjoys the joy that accompanies it. Likewise if your ways are evil, you as well share in the pain of those you afflict. Your righteous deeds will guard your life and bring you peace with fulfillment on all sides. However, the sinner will be overthrown by wickedness. In the scenario of David and Saul, David had chances to kill Saul but did not even attempt to. Saul realized how stupid it was to plot evil yet never repented until doom came upon him and his household (1 Samuel 24). Let righteousness flow in your life. Prayer: Make me a vessel of righteousness and guard me from evil in Jesus name. AMEN!

Theme: Let God Fight for You  Text: Jeremiah 17:18 Let those who persecute me be shamed, but as for me, protect me from shame; Let them lose courage, but let me be undaunted. Bring on them a day of tragedy, And destroy them with double destruction! Each day is a struggle to be loosed from the grips of our adversaries. Some resort into fighting with their physical strength and even using physical means to attack the enemy like canning, shooting, hooting amongst others. Dear beloved in the Lord, you need not fight by yourself when you have God. Call on Him to put to shame your adversaries. A prayer of faith will crush your adversaries underfoot. He will shame them but you shall not see shame. The power of His deliverance will cause your enemies to loose courage. No power can contend with the Lord. When the Lord arises, His enemies have no choice but to scatter (Psalm 68:1). If you put your trust in the Lord, you shall be like mount Zion that shall never be moved (Psalm 125:1). Our Go...

Theme: Set to Preach the Good News Text: 1 Corinthians 1:17 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. Our calling is to proclaim Christ whether ordained as a priest or not. If you are not ordain, it doesn't warrant an exempt in the preaching of the Good News. Proclaim it to a soul, win him/her over and hand him/her to the ordained priest for baptism. You have a role to play in the spread of the Gospel. The set time is now, reach out to a soul in darkness with the Light of God. When you go out to proclaim the Gospel, do well not to exalt yourself. You are not the message, Christ is. Take off the self praise and proclaim Jesus as Lord. Let the essence of the cross always be made known in your spread of the Gospel. Salvation is solely in Jesus and no other. Beware of how you proclaim your as if the power you have is by your own strength. If you are also following false teachers wh...

Theme: Who is the Lord to You?  Text: Psalm 27:1 27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? As believers, we all have diverse perspectives of who the Lord is in our lives. All these however do not differ from each other but rather we each uniquely identifies an attribute of God in His relationship with us. Dear beloved in the Lord, what can you say of the Lord in your life? Your response is a guide to your lasting relationship with Him. If it's difficult for you to identify who the Lord is in your life, then your relationship with Him is not very firm. You need to reexamine that fast. The psalmist writes, the Lord is his light and salvation. Jesus is the light of the world and in Him only can salvation be attained (John 3:16). This is a profound statement of eternity hear after. For in the last day, there'll be no need for light for Christ Himself will be Light to all (Revelations 21:23 and 22:5)....

Theme: Hallelujah to the King of Glory!  Text: Psalm 145:3 3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. Our God is faithful and good to us. At all times, our praise must go up to Him. God is indeed great. His marvelous works from time past even unto us this day is unmeasurable. If you count your blessings each day, you will understand better why your praise needs to go up. You have been delivered from seen and unseen battles through the mercies of the Lord. Be grateful for what you have now and even be more grateful for what you expect from the Lord this year. Turn every supplication into worship and adoration to God and the glory of God shall make you be favored in all things. Prayer: Be lifted o God, above every other god for there's none comparable to You. We lay down our Crowns to reverend Your greatness and majesty in Jesus name. AMEN!

Theme: Make Peace With All! Text: Romans 12:18 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Peace is needful in life. The peace that comes from God must manifest in you at all times. If your  action is what will resolve a misunderstanding, then, rise up and bring an end to the misunderstanding. Live at peace with all people and let people understand the peace Christ Jesus left behind (John 14:27). A life of peace with all people will reveal the true nature of God to the world.  Prayer: Lord Jesus I pray Thee, touch me with Your peaceful Hands and give me peace divine to apply in my daily live. Theme: Let there be Light!  Text: Genesis 1:1-5 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.   God is the beginning and end of all things. He is the Creator of all things. The earth was without form, void and darkness was on the face of deep. Dear beloved in the Lord, if you fail to allow God to pass through the fields of your life (marriage, education, finances, career, business, investment, etc..), understand it shall be without form, void and darkness shall cover your fields. When you allow God into your fields, He will cause His glory to correct the mess on you...

Theme: Anger Robs Your Solace  Text: Psalm 37:8 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. Anger is a toxin you must not permit seconds to linger on with you. Anger has led many to do what they wouldn't have done if they had control of themselves. Cain is an example of such situation who killed his brother ( Genesis 4:6-8). When you're pushed to the wall in anger, be encouraged with the Word of God. The Apostle Paul admonished the church in Ephesus to, "be angry but do not sin. And do not let the sun go down in your wrath nor give place for the devil" (Ephesians 4:26-27). Though you can be angry over some issues, do not permit it to rule over you. Apart from the spiritual perspective to forgive and to live peacefully with all, ceasing anger will do you great good than harm. Many are suffering hypertension because they've held on to bitterness and anger for far too long. If you allow the sun to set on your anger, be sure to spend more ...

Theme: Grow Above Your Limitations  Text: Numbers 27:1-11 27 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, from the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. 2 And they stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, and before the leaders and all the congregation, by the doorway of the tabernacle of meeting, saying: 3 “Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not in the company of those who gathered together against the Lord, in company with Korah, but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our father be removed from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father’s brothers.” 5 So Moses brought their case before the Lord. 6 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 7 “The daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance a...

Theme: Positive Reasoning.  Text: Micah 7:8 8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. There are ups and downs in life. You need to live knowing well, there are two sides to every coin and so is life. It might be pleasant or unpleasant. The pleasant moments don't give you sleepless nights but rather the unpleasant. When faced with unpleasant circumstances, dear friends in Christ Jesus, don't be discouraged. Have a positive mind in Christ Jesus. That situation isn't bigger than  your savior. Let the situation know that you have a deliverer and so when you fall, you will rise again. Peter fell when he denied Jesus, but on realizing who he is in Christ, he arose for Christ and by Jehovah's mercies he defended the very Christ he denied when the Holy Spirit came upon him. Don't remain on the ground. Rise up and shake off the dust on you. You're more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. In your d...

Dear beloved in the Lord, every service you render must be than as though it is to the Lord. David shepherd his father's flock in all eagerness and faithfulness. This prepared him to take up a higher responsibility in Israel as king. What duty are you charged with? How faithful are you in the discharge of this/these duty(ies)? If you work well, you'll get a better calling. You need to develop or acquire skills in every duty at your disposal. These skills will serve as a guide to how you'll lead your subordinates. Theme: Live the Word  Text: James 1:21-25 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. The Word of God is life saving to the world. For this life is the light of men (John 1:4). The word of God illumine your path and guides you from falling prey to the adversaries schemes against your salvation (Psalm 119:9-11; 105). However, if you identify and confess them, the blood of Jesus draws you closer to God. The circumcision of your evil heart begins with the knowledge of the Word of God. The Word equips you to understand every deceit of the devil and his agents. Theme: Are You Wise?  Text: James 3:13-18 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Education that does not produce the value and essence it should give is useless. All it births in individuals is literacy skills. Whitehead classify such individuals as uneducated literates. The good news is that, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 3:16). We are admonished to be filled with the Spirit and not wine (Ephesians 5:18).
