COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your name we give glory. Because of Your mercies and truth towards us who have not been grateful enough to reciprocate this unto You and towards the brethren. Thank You for the gift of life and for the many benefits You daily loads us with. We plead our sins be removed far from us by the Blood of Jesus Christ and may we be strengthen in the Word by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.   It is written, "The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us. He will bless those who fear Him, both small and great". Father in the name of Jesus Christ, bless our week, the remaining months in 2021 and beyond. Cause us to be called blessed and may nothing good be missing in our lives. O God, give us and our generations  increase more and more in every area of our lives. It is written, "The heavens, even the heavens, are the Lord's; But the earth He has given to the children of men". Abba! Father, grant us the grace to subdue the e...

DEVOTION ~ THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION

Theme: The Spirit of Adoption  Text: Romans 8:15-17  15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Accepting Jesus and confessing Him as Lord is a great transformation from being a slave to becoming a heir through the Spirit of adoption. A seal of belonging is set on us and the Holy Spirit is a witness to this. Dear beloved in the Lord, Christ knew this grace of adoption will manifest in anyone who believes, and so in teaching the disciples to pray, He began with "Our Father". We are children of the Most High God, therefore, when we come before His presence we ought to address Him, lovely Father (Abba! Father). Whatever be our need in life, we must present it to o...

DEVOTION ~ DEBTORS TO THE SPIRIT

Theme: Debtors to the Spirit  Text: Romans 8:12-14 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. In yesterday's devotion, we learned that the Spirit of Christ dwells in us and by His Spirit we will be raised to life on the resurrection or raptured when the Lord appears. By this mercy and love of God, we are no longer indebted to sin or the flesh but debtors to the Spirit of Christ. We can no longer live in the flesh for it has no power to give life neither do we owe it for Christ has paid our debts in full through His death. Living in the flesh put one to death for the wages of sin (living according to the flesh) is death. This death is both spiritual and physical.  However, there's hope unto us who walk according to the Spirit: we don...

DEVOTION ~ THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST

Theme: The Spirit of Christ  Text: Romans 8:9-11 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. In yesterday's devotion, we looked at whether our ways pleases the Lord and how best we can flee from being carnally minded. In today's devotion we will be looking at the Spirit of Christ which every child of God must possess. When we come to Christ, we become new creations in His likeness. We therefore possess His nature and His Spirit indwells us. We become spiritual beings that operate more in the spirit than in the flesh.  Having the Spirit of Christ in us means, sin has been ...

DEVOTION ~ DO YOU PLEASE GOD?

Theme: Do You Please God?  Text: Romans 8:7&8  7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Following Jesus is not a lip service but one that's very practically demostrated in deeds. You can not be for Jesus and at the same time in darkness for Jesus is the Light of our salvation. Going contrary to God's law implies rejection of His law. There's an enmity between you and God concerning His law.  Abiding in the flesh reveals your vulnerability as you have been detached from the Vine. If you're detached from the Vine, then you cannot in any way be useful but to be burnt as you do not please the Lord. If you desire to please God, then walk according to the Spirit and bear fruit of the Spirit.  Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, it is written, You take no delight in the death of the unrighteous. Have mercy upon me and cleanse me from my si...

DEVOTION ~ CARNALLY OR SPIRITUALLY Minded?

Theme: Carnally or Spiritually Minded?  Text: Romans 8:5&6  5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  In yesterday's devotion, we looked at how the law could not be of help to us to meet the righteous requirement but if we walk with Christ, then we can attain such glory. A walk with Christ means, walking according to the Spirit but anyone who fails to walk with Christ, walks in the flesh. A walk in the flesh makes one set his/her mind on carnal things that leads to death. No room is provided in such a soul to allow the Light of the Holy Spirit to prevail. Sin chokes that soul all round resulting in death. However, anyone who lives according to the Spirit does operate in Light. This soul is spiritually minded and seeks to please God. In such soul is the fulness of God's...

DEVOTION ~ THE LAW'S RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENT

Theme: The Law's Righteous Requirement  Text: Romans 8:3&4 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.  Before the dispensation of Jesus Christ, our fathers' of old could not meet the requirement of the law. The flesh could not stand strong to fulfill the requirement because, the carnal man cannot resist the edge to go contrary to the law. The law could not help to shape the human race into becoming righteous after the Adamic sin. God in His mercies and love, sent His Only Begotten Son to die that we may have life to attain the righteous requirement. Jesus condemned sin in the flesh as he abided in the law without committing any sin when he came down to the earth. He led a righteous life so as to gui...

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

My hallelujah is in Your name Most Everlasting Father and God of hosts. You deserve the glory, honor and adoration for the mercies of Your goodness in my life, family, church, community, nation and the world at large. You're incomparable, none can compete with You. The I AM THAT I AM GOD what can I render to You but praise? It is written, he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty and will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I trust". I declare today, I dwell in the secret place of the Most High by the power in the Blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross of Calvary for my sake. As I abide in God's shadow, no evil shall know my address. Every evil reoccurance in my life, family, ministry, career, business, finances, health, projects, education and every area of my life is defeated by the Shadow of the God of the armies of heaven. It is established today and forevermore as I trust in the ...

DEVOTION ~ NO CONDEMNATION

Theme: No Condemnation  Text: Romans 8:1&2 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. There's a name that condemns likewise is there a name that does not condemn but gives like. Adam brought condemnation on us but Jesus Christ came to redeem us from that condemnation. So if we are in Christ, there's no condemnation to us. It is just not just believing in Christ, but we also do not walk according to the flesh. The desires of the flesh contradicts that of the Spirit so we cannot be in Christ and still dwell in the flesh. So long as we surrender to Christ, we need to resist the desires of the flesh in order to walk according to the leadings of the Holy Spirit of God. (James 4:7) Dear beloved in the Lord, the law of the Spirit of Christ is liberty not bondage. It redeems us from t...

DEVOTION ~ THE GOD OF HOSTS

Theme: The God of Hosts  Text: Amos 5:25-27 25 “Did you offer Me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? 26 You also carried Sikkuth your king and Chiun, your idols, the star of your gods, which you made for yourselves. 27 Therefore I will send you into captivity beyond Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts. As we conclude this chapter of Amos, we will be looking at, "The God of hosts". God is Jehovah, Yahweh, the I AM THAT I AM. He rules over all things. The word hosts is a translation of the Hebrew word sabaoth, meaning “armies”. This is in reference to the angelic armies of heaven. This theme can also be expressed as, "God of the armies of heaven". The God of the armies of heaven has kept Israel safe and delivered them from the bondage of the Egyptians. Yet, Israel failed to honor the Lord for what He has done. They channeled God's honor to their handmade idols. Many of us have become like Israel: we are u...

DEVOTION ~ A SONG OR NOISE

Theme: A Song or Noise?  Text: Amos 5:23&24 23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs, for I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. 24 But let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. In yesterday's devotion, we learned that our assemblies should be devoid of ungodliness. We ought to flee lukewarm behaviors and present ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto the Lord. Today, we will look at how our songs reach the Throne of Mercy dubbed "a song or noise?  Songs are melodious and soothing to the Lord when it comes from the heart of a true worshipper. It flows harmoniously and does not disturb the hearer. However, when injustice, and unrighteousness clouds the believer, his/her song with its instruments make noise (empty without any spiritual significance or touch of the Holy Spirit) before the Lord. Are you singing or making noise with your songs to God? Assess your life and change your ungodly ways. Where godl...

DEVOTION ~ SACRED ASSEMBLIES

Theme: Sacred Assemblies  Text: Amos 5:21&22 21 “I hate, I despise your feast days, and I do not savor your sacred assemblies. 22 Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them, nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings." Coming before God's presence is not a twinkle one but a lifestyle devoid of disobedience. If we live a double life; enjoy worldly passion but display gymnastics of holiness during our assemblies, God will not accept such double life. For He has said to the Laodicean church; "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." (Revelations 3:15&16) God will not accept the sacrifice of bulls, rams or grain. The kind of sacrifice He requires of us is our heart and pure devotion. We ought to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto the Lord. Let o...

DEVOTION ~ THE DAY OF THE LORD

Theme: The Day of the Lord Text: Amos 5:18-20 18 Woe to you who desire the day of the Lord! For what good is the day of the Lord to you? It will be darkness, and not light. 19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him! Or as though he went into the house, leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him! 20 Is not the day of the Lord darkness, and not light? Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it? The Day of the Lord is a time of reckon, where each one of us will give account of what he/she has done with his/her life. It will be an unpleasant day to those who failed to heed the command of the Lord especially those who know not the Christ. Whereas to those who believe, it will be a moment of joy and relief from the troubles of this age. At any time we lift our voices to say, "MARANATHA! (Let the Lord come quickly)" we need to reevaluate our relationship with God. Are we still in the fellowship with Him or we have taken to pleasing our lustful des...

DEVOTION ~ WAILING

Theme: Wailing  Text: Amos 5:16&17 16 Therefore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this: “There shall be wailing in all streets, and they shall say in all the highways, ‘Alas! Alas!’ They shall call the farmer to mourning, and skillful lamenters to wailing. 17 In all vineyards there shall be wailing, for I will pass through you,” says the Lord. The wrath of God does not bring joy but sorrow to anyone who incurs it. It comes upon the disobedient; those who fail to heed to God's divine instruction. God's word to the disobedient is, their pain cannot be hidden, it will be openly seen. They will wail so will those associated to them. They will wail over the lost of their loved ones, job, business, finances, projects, glory, honour, amongst other significant things.  As the Egyptians wept uncontrollably over the death of the first born, that's how awful it will be to those who hardened their hearts to the voice of God. Dear beloved in the Lord, rise from the place of diso...

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Abba! Father, I'm here to worship at Your Feet for the power of Your deliverance, healing, revival, and restoration. Glory be unto Your Name for all the days, weeks, months and years of Your mercies upon my life, and for divine protection, provision, and peace. You reign in majesty and Your throne is established from of old and forevermore. It is written, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you". Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for the grace of Your glory to locate every field of my life. I receive the overcomer's grace to pull down, uproot, destroy and defeat every evil agenda programmed against any area of my life and whatever the Lord has not planted in my life. My the virtue of God's grace, I speak life into every sphere of my life; I receive good health, peace, joy unspeakable, marital breakthroughs, educational breakthroughs, financial breakthroughs, grace to complete every project, career advancem...

DEVOTION ~ SEEK GOOD, LOVE GOOD!

Theme: Seek Good, Love Good!  Text: Amos 5:14&15 14  Seek good and not evil,  that you may live;  So the  Lord  God of hosts will be with you,  as you have spoken.  15  Hate evil, love good;  Establish justice in the gate.  It may be that the  Lord  God of hosts  will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph. In yesterday's devotion, we looked at how the times are evil and what we as believers in the Lord ought to do is avoid unnecessary arguments and pray. In today's devotion, we will be looking at the choices we need to make as children of God. We need to seek good, and love good. The righteous seek good, resulting in life whereas the ungodly seek evil, that leads to destruction and death. The Lord does not forsake the righteous in any way rather, He abides with the righteous. We must therefore, seek good, do good and desire or love good; living a just life and always striving to flee from evil company. The Lord's b...

DEVOTION ~ AN EVIL TIME

Theme: An Evil Time Text: Amos 3:10-13 10 They hate the one who rebukes in the gate, and they abhor the one who speaks up rightly. 11 Therefore, because you tread down the poor and take grain taxes from him, though you have built houses of hewn stone, yet you shall not dwell in them; You have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them. 12 For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: Afflicting the just and taking bribes; Diverting the poor from justice at the gate. 13 Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, for it is an evil time. In our dispensation, we can say the times are evil. But what really makes it evil? That's what we will be looking at today in our devotion. Evil begins when correction or rebuke is frowned upon or seen as a disturbance. If the one who rebukes is hated for trying to bring order, then evil has taken root in those who stand up against such individual. So long as these evil men/women would not accept rebukes, t...

DEVOTION ~ THE LORD IS HIS NAME

Theme: The Lord is His Name Text: Amos 5:8&9  8 He made the Pleiades and Orion; He turns the shadow of death into morning and makes the day dark as night; He calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth; The Lord is His name. 9 He rains ruin upon the strong, so that fury comes upon the fortress.  Nature displays its beauty at all times without fail. When we lift our heads up in the night, we see countless starts and the moon that adorn the sky with much beauty. The night comes so does the day and each with its elements to show off; the dark is called night and the light as day. This has been from the beginning of time when creation was set in motion. The Creator is the Lord God Almighty. In Him is the power of life and death; His mercies delivers us from being damned and the destructive power of death through Christ Jesus.  He determines how far the seas can come to the earth; how far each man could be tested. For no temptation has overt...

DEVOTION ~ SEEK THE LORD

Theme: Seek the Lord  Text: Amos 5:4-7 4 For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: “Seek Me and live; 5 But do not seek Bethel, nor enter Gilgal, nor pass over to Beersheba; For Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing. 6 Seek the Lord and live, lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, with no one to quench it in Bethel— 7 You who turn justice to wormwood, and lay righteousness to rest in the earth!” As the Kingdom advances, we see the birth of congregations or denominations each day. Unfortunately many do not seek the Lord but rather the symbolic leaders (bishops, apostles, pastors, prophets) of their church. They put all their hopes and aspirations in these leaders believing their miracles come from them. God is calling unto us to seek Him now and not the gift of prophecy, healing and miracles He performs in His vessels here on earth.  The call not to enter Bethel, Gilgal and Beersheba is to draw our attention to ...

DEVOTION ~ LAMENTATION

Theme: Lamentation  Text: Amos 5:1-3 5 Hear this word which I take up against you, a lamentation, O house of Israel: 2 The virgin of Israel has fallen; She will rise no more. She lies forsaken on her land; There is no one to raise her up. 3 For thus says the Lord God: “The city that goes out by a thousand shall have a hundred left, and that which goes out by a hundred shall have ten left to the house of Israel.” A call is placed on us to reevaluate our ways with the Lord. We need to lament over our waywardnes. Like the fallen virgin, sin takes away our honour and dignity but if we become penitent, God hears our prayer of confessions and forgives us. However if we continue in sin, we will never rise to attain our glory in Christ Jesus. Our souls will be desolate and become a ground for wicked and evil spirits to manipulate. By our own strength, we cannot redeem ourselves, it's solely in Jesus we can be redeemed.  When we fail to return to the Lord, we become spiritually malnour...

A PRAYER FOR HOLINESS

A PRAYER FOR HOLINESS  OUR Father, we worship and love Thee and it is one point of our worship that Thou art holy. Time was when we loved Thee for Thy mercy. We knew no more, but now Thou hast changed our hearts and made us in love with goodness, purity, justice, true holiness, and we understand now why “the cherubim and seraphim continually do cry, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts.” We adore Thee because Thou art holy and we love Thee for Thine infinite perfection. For now, we sigh and cry after holiness ourselves. Sanctify us wholly, spirit, soul, and body. Lord, we mourn over the sins of our past life and our present shortcomings. We bless Thee Thou hast forgiven us. We are reconciled to Thee by the death of Thy Son. There are many who know that they have been washed and that He that beareth away sin has borne their sin away. These are they who now cry to Thee to be delivered from the power of sin, to be delivered from the power of temptation without, but especially from indwelling...

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Light of the world, Redeemer of the lost souls and the ever loving God, blessings, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving and honour belongs to You alone. Glory be to Your Name that Your years never fail and so it is with anyone who draws nearer to You. As I am in Christ, I degree I am fulfilling my days without fail. My days are filled with testimonies, breakthroughs, miracles, signs and wonders on all sides. I degree in the name of Jesus Christ, I am anointed with gladness more than my companions. The lines have fall in pleasant places for me and I take possession of all that is mine. All things take divine direction in my life from this day forth and forevermore in Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ INHERIT SALVATION

Theme: Inherit Salvation  Text: Hebrews 1:13&14 13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? In the past few days, we've been looking at Jesus Christ and His relevance in the life of the Christian believer. We've seen the blessings, power and authority God has given unto Jesus over all things. We were also able to distinguish Him from the angels. In today's devotion, the opening verse asked a question;  But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? God hasn't in any point in time asked angels to sit but assigns them to keep watch over His Word. The angels are continually deployed to accomplish a given task. It is of Jesus Christ He has made that statement after ascending to heaven having conquered sin and death. This implies, anyone who a...

DEVOTION ~ YOUR YEARS WILL NOT FAIL

Theme: Your Years Will Not Fail  Text: Hebrews 1:10&11 10  And:  “ You,   Lord , in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,  and the heavens are the work of Your hands.  11  They will perish, but You remain;  And   they will all grow old like a garment;  12  Like a cloak You will fold them up,  and they will be changed.  But You are the   same,  and Your years will not fail.” We serve an awesome God who has never failed or disappointed and what He cannot do does not exist. He has been in the beginning and He created all things out of the void. Every thing in nature has been created by God and their days are known to Him solely. All things will grow old and persih yet God remains as He is. For it written, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. (Hebrews 13:8) This earth and heaven shall one day pass away but the Word of God abides forever. In the Word salvation is attained, so we oug...

DEVOTION ~ OIL OF GLADNESS

Theme: Oil of Gladness  Text: Hebrews 1:8&9 8 But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” The nature of Christ is countless for there's no limit to it. Yesterday, we studied that, Christ is the firstborn of the resurrection and God has exalted Him above the angels. Today, we will be looking at the anointing upon His life dubbed the oil of gladness. Oil has been a significant tool amongst the children of God before Christ, during His earthly stay and after His departure to heaven. Oil is used for anointing kings, it is a symbolism of greatness, favour, and divine blessings from God. Jesus is a part of the Triune God and He rules with the scepter of righteousness. His reign is devoid of lawlessness, corruption, and evil deeds. By His righteous judgment, ...

DEVOTION ~ THE FIRSTBORN

Theme: The Firstborn  Text: Hebrews 1:5-7 5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son”? 6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” 7 And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.” Blessed be the name of the Almighty God for another favored morning. Let's quickly recap what we learnt yesterday; we studied that, Christ has an excellent name above all other names in the heaven, earth and the sea. Today, we look at another identity of Christ as the firstborn of the Father. There has been a compare and contrast between Jesus and the angels to clearly bring us to a realization that, Jesus is greater than all the angels. The angels have been subjected to Him.  Having existed from the beginning, Jesus has been the Spoken Word of God. He only manifested in the flesh...

DEVOTION ~ EXCELLENT NAME

Theme: Excellent Name Text: Hebrews 1:3&4 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. In yesterday's devotion, we looked at Christ being the appointed heir and we are continuing today to look at His excellent name. Jesus is the brightness of God's glory. He is our Light and His brightness cannot be comprehended by darkness. He is the expressed image of God. Anyone who sees Christ has seen the Father, for the Father and son are one. Christ upholds all things by the word of His power. His Word is full of authority and power and it does not return void to Him. It accomplishes that for which it was sent. He has been sent by the Father to redeem the lost through His death. By His Blood our sins...

DEVOTION ~ THE APPOINTED HEIR

Theme: The Appointed Heir  Text: Hebrews 1:1&2 1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds God has appointed Jesus as the heir of all things after He has suffered the shameful death on the cross and was raised to life on the third day. All things in creation exist through Him and there was nothing made without Him. In the dispensation before the Christ, the message of God was communicated by the prophets. The messenger always make reference to God as he delivers the message (Thou says the Lord../This is what the Lord says...). The message is either written or verbally communicated to the children of God.  Christ's mission on earth has been long communicated and He gave command with authority over sickness, demons, leaders and even unto the elements of the earth. The Word written in the Bible ...

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

Father of life, Restorer of the broken hearted, the God of mercy and forgiveness, Most compassionate Lord to You alone be glory honor and adoration. Thank You for the gift of life and for Thy mercies even unto an unfaithful servant as I. It is written, Your steadfast love never ceases, Your mercies never comes to an end, they are renewed every morning. I pray by Your steadfast love, cleanse me from fear, doubts, unfaithfulness, lies, sluggishness, presumptuous and secret sins. And by Your mercies, strengthen me where I have fallen and uplift me in the faith. Increase my faith Lord that I may trust You the more in the storms of life. It is written, the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. Father in the name of Jesus, any serpentine spirit (unfriendly friends) in operation in any area of my life I overturn their tables by the power of the Holy Spirit. As it was in the days of Babel, I confuse their thoughts, imagination and language by the fir...

DEVOTION ~ GOD'S SALVATION

Theme: God's Salvation  Text: Genesis 3:21-24 21 Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. 22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. God's love towards the fallen man has never changed, He cared for man and has him in heart as His own image. After pronouncing punishment on all three, He looked out to the well-being of his human creation by providing protective clothing. The innocent killed for the guilty; the beginning of the salvation preparation (God showed his love on the human race that, while we were still sinners Christ d...

DEVOTION ~ ADAM

Theme: Adam  Text: Genesis 3:17-20 17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” 20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. In today's devotion, we will be looking at the punishment God gave to Adam. The ground has been cursed because Adam failed to heed to God's command. Disobedience brings curses and sorrows in the life of anyone who is disobedient. The ground of our lives could be a field, career, business, education, marriage, children, health, or any area of our lives. These ...
