PRAYER PRAYER PRAYER!!!

PRAYER PRAYER Prayer!!!  Thank You God, for the power of Your love towards me. I honour You for Your faithfulness in my life even though I've not been faithful. Forgive me for my sins and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus. I pray the Holy Spirit to take total control over my life. I declare as a child of God that, I'm more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Every yoke of limitation is broken. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I frustrate every conspiracy of destiny hijackers in my life. I destroy every evil tongue that is speaking evil and darkness in my life by the potency of the blood of Jesus Christ.  My God and my Father, raise standards against all manipulative, destructive, cunning, satanic strongholds and demonic altars waging war in any sphere of my life. Render their attacks useless in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word says; You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, and you will pay your vows.  28  You will also declare a thing, And it will be est...

DEVOTION ~ COMFORT FOR THE SOUL

Theme: Comfort for the Soul  Text: Isaiah 57:18 18  I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him,  and restore comforts to him  and to his mourners. Our sins often lead us into discomforting situations. This discomfort has its tolls on us and those around us. It is only the saving Hands of God that can take us out of it with ease and heal us completely.  The Lord knows us and what we can and cannot do. All He requires of us is to acknowledge our sins and return to Him penitently. For He is faithful and just to forgive us and wash us from every unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). When we confess our sins to the Lord the burden of guilt is lifted and the peace of God comes to take full control in us. The peace of God comes with divine healing. The healing could either be physically or spiritually. Both healing are good for the soul. When we are healed by God, He leads us to the still waters and restores our soul. He as well guides us in the pa...

DEVOTION ~ RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SALVATION

Theme: Righteousness and Salvation  Text: Romans 10:8-13   8  But what does it say?  “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”  (that is, the word of faith which we preach):  9  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  10  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  11  For the Scripture says,  “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”   12  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.  13  For  “whoever calls   on the name of the   Lord   shall be saved.” Words have strong power and influence over our lives. We must therefore watch our words well before uttering them. To control our words, we need to instill a disciple spir...

DEVOTION ~ GOD'S PROTECTION IN STRUGGLES

Theme: God's Protection in Struggles  Text: Nahum 1:7 7  The  Lord   is  good,  a stronghold in the day of trouble;  And He knows those who trust in Him. In His nature, He's good and faithful to us all. Whatever the Lord does is good and marvelous. When we allow God to take lead in our lives, He leads us to a place of greener pasture and still waters. We can only get to the greener pasture and still waters if we trust God.  Troubles are a part of our lives journey. The troubles shouldn't cripple us in faith but rather, stir in us the strength to hold on firmly to the anchor of our lives, Jesus Christ. The stronghold of the Lord, is what brings peace into our lives. This is the place where our hearts and minds focus not on material or human help but solely on God to save us. In the struggles, God will protect us from destruction.  The God who searches the heart knows those who faithfully trust He will see them through. Your fears, doubts,...

DEVOTION ~ PRAISE THE LORD!

Theme: Praise the Lord!  Text: Psalm 117 Praise the  Lord , all you Gentiles!  Laud Him, all you peoples!  2  For His merciful kindness is great toward us,  and the truth of the  Lord   endures  forever.  Praise the  Lord ! Praise is giving honour to God and it is also a means to show appreciation with a grateful heart. In praising God, we count our blessings as well as the many troubles of life we've overcome by the mercies of God. So when we lift up our praise we surely do understand what we're saying of the Lord. He's the God of both the mountains and the valleys.  One great thing to always be thankful for, is the gift of salvation. The redemption work of Christ on the cross has fully expressed the merciful kindness of God towards a perishing world. Before God now, there are no Jews nor Gentiles. We are all one in Christ Jesus. We are His children and He is Our Father. His truth endures forever with us. Jesus is th...

DEVOTION ~ ABOVE CONDEMNATIONS

Theme: Above Condemnations Text: Romans 8:31-39 31  What then shall we say to these things? If God  is  for us, who  can be  against us?  32  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?  33  Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?  It is  God who justifies.  34  Who  is  he who condemns?  It is  Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.  35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  S hall  tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  36  As it is written:  “For Your sake we are killed all day long;  We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”  37  Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved...

DEVOTION ~THE IMAGE OF CHRIST

Theme: The Image of Christ  Text: Romans 8:28-30 28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to  His  purpose.  29  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined  to be  conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  30  Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Good things are associated with God because He is good and have such intentions towards those who believe in Him. Our existence on earth isn't by accident but by divine plan of God carry out a mandate for His glory. He made known this to Jeremiah;  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Indeed God knows us even before we were ...

DEVOTION ~ SEARCH FOR THE HIDDEN TREASURE

Theme: Search for the Hidden Treasure Text: Matthew 13:44-46 44  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and   sells all that he has and   buys that field.  45  “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,   46  who, when he had found   one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it. In life, treasures are often hidden from the reach of man. It will take efforts coupled with determination to lay hold of treasures. Pearls are hidden in the earth, beauty is hidden within and not on the outside, wisdom is hidden in the mind and it comes from God. Likewise spiritual things are hidden from the carnally minded. The text for consideration is on the parable of heaven and what it's likened to.  The salvation of our souls is a hidden treasure which can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit to us. In our weaknesses and filt...

DEVOTION ~THE MASTER BUILDER

Theme: The Master Builder Text: Hebrews 3:4   4  For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things  is  God. We live in houses made by human hands. Whenever we enter a house built with all architectural elements on point, we don't just say wow and that ends it. We often praise the brain that made such a wonderful piece. It's just not about buildings, it could be a painting, design, craft, etc. If we can be pleased with the handwork of our fellow human beings, then we need to appreciate our Creator.  All things are built by God. He knows the form (substance) of everything in existence. Even the hair on our head are numbered (Matthew 10:30). Being the Perfect and Master Builder, we need to commit our ways to His hands so he can build us up well. Dear beloved in the Lord, God can build every sphere of your life far better than you can imagine. Don't hide from Him. It's impossible to even hide from God for He is everywhere and knows all things (P...

DEVOTION ~MY VOWS, MY VICTORY

Theme: My Vows, My Victory Text: Genesis 28:20-22 20  Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,  21  so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the  Lord  shall be my God.  22  And this stone which I have set as a pillar  shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.” Vows usually takes place between us and God, where we assure the Lord of a pledge to keep in order for Him to fulfill a purpose in our lives. Jacob made a vow requesting for God's guidance, protection and blessings as he goes far from home. It should also be our pledge with God when we're embarking on a journey. Whatever the journey you're on: i.e education, career, business, marriage, investment, ministry, etc, you need to commit everything to God's Hands. Dear beloved in the Lord, it is only with th...

DEVOTION ~ BETHEL ~THE HOUSE OF GOD

Theme: Bethel ~The House of God  Text: Genesis 28:16-19 16  Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the  Lord  is in this place, and I did not know  it. ”  17  And he was afraid and said, “How awesome  is  this place! This  is  none other than the house of God, and this  is  the gate of heaven!”  18  Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it.  19  And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously. Just like Jacob, most people have no knowledge of existing in the House of God. The Holy Spirit resides in us for we are God's own temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). In the dispensation of king David, when the Holy Spirit hasn't made his body the temple of God, in one of his psalms, he said, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the da...

DEVOTION ~ THE COVENANT KEEPING GOD

Theme: The Covenant Keeping God  Text: Genesis 28:13-15 13  And behold, the  Lord  stood above it and said: “I  am  the  Lord  God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.  14  Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.  15  Behold, I  am  with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” God established a relationship with Abraham from the day Abraham adhere to God's voice to leave his father's house. The relationship was sealed with a covenant in circumcision. The child of promise was Isaac who happen to be the father of Jacob...

DEVOTION ~ JESUS, OUR ROCK OF LIFE!

Theme: Jesus Our Rock of Life! Text: Genesis 28:10-12 10  Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.  11  So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.  12  Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder  was  set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. Each passing day of our lives gives us a dawn and twilight (dusk). Most often, the dusk becomes scary and insecure if we don't know where to lay our heads to have a blissful sleep. This is the case of Jacob the supplanter whose journey is met with dusk. Far from home and all alone, he decided to sleep on a ground he knows nothing about. Dear beloved in the Lord, you may find yourself in this situation one way or the other. Do you allow the fear in you to take away ...

DEVOTION ~ GOD IS FAITHFUL

Theme: God is Faithful Text: Psalm 89:34-35 34  My covenant I will not break,  nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.  35  Once I have sworn by My holiness;  I will not lie to David From the beginning of time to now, God has been faithful with the human race. He has never for once abandoned mankind or failed to keep to His promises to His creation. Every word of God is fulfilled no matter how long it takes. It's rather unfortunate the human race often fail in keeping to the promises made to God. Many of us often fill we are in better position to help God fulfill His promises and we rather end up complicating issues in our lives. Whatever comes out of God's mouth doesn't return to Him void unless the purpose for which it was sent is accomplished (Isaiah 55:11). Don't be discouraged when things don't turn out the way you want it to be. Your desires and perspectives can't take you to the height God will establish you. So, trust God's faithfulnes...

DEVOTION ~ THE LORD IS MY PORTION

Theme: The Lord is My Portion Text: Psalm 142:5-7 5  I cried out to You, O  Lord :  I said, “You  are  my refuge,  My portion in the land of the living.  6  Attend to my cry,  for I am brought very low;  Deliver me from my persecutors,  for they are stronger than I. 7  Bring my soul out of prison,  That I may praise Your name;  The righteous shall surround me,  for You shall deal bountifully with me.” Belongingness and possession are a part of the human life. We often desire to belong to a group or even possess something worthy. Earthly possessions do not give us ultimate safety and security in life. Having Christ however gives assurance of safety and security. The psalmist says the Lord is His refuge and his portion in the land of the living. Knowing there's a glorious life hereafter, it's important to establish strong relationship with the Lord. Make Him your portion here on earth so that you'll always see...

DEVOTION ~THE POSSIBILITY GOD

Theme: The Possibility God Text: Job 38:8-10 8  “Or  who  shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth  and  issued from the womb;  9  When I made the clouds its garment,  and thick darkness its swaddling band;  10  When I fixed My limit for it,  and set bars and doors;  11  When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop !’ God is the Creator of all things and He has total control over them. What seems impossible, is very possible with God. As Christ Jesus said, with men, it's impossible but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). The sea, is part of the creation story. The Lord God created the earth by gathering the waters under the heaven to one side and He named this water the sea and the dry land as earth (Genesis 1:9-10). God then shut the door on the sea that it might not overflow to the land. He has made it possible for the sea not to overflow its bou...

DEVOTION ~ COMMAND YOUR DAY

Theme: Command Your Day Text: Job 38:12-13 12  “Have you commanded the morning since your days began,  and caused the dawn to know its place,  13  That it might take hold of the ends of the earth,  and the wicked be shaken out of it? God has given us power over every circumstance in life through Christ Jesus. We need to make effective use of this gift to glorify God. In doing so, we have every sphere of our lives under divine management through faith. This can be made possible by prayers. As believers, you need to begin and end your day with prayer. Prayer will help you to command your day. Commanding your day, gives you an upper hand over situations in your life. The most effective time for this is the early hours of the day (dawn). Awake with conversation with God and trust your day's work into His Hands. You will be able to cause things in your life to know their places and thereby doing away with worries and anxieties. Christ said, this t...

DEVOTION ~ GOD, OUR DWELLING PLACE!

Theme: God, Our Dwelling Place Text: Psalm 90:1-2 Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.  2  Before the mountains were brought forth,  or ever You had formed the earth and the world,  even from everlasting to everlasting, You  are  God. God is the Creator of all things and He knows every sphere of His marvelous creation from light, darkness, plants, animals to man. In the Garden of Eden, He was with His creation keeping them company. His presence has been the dwelling place of man. The Lord breath life in us to become living beings having created us in His image. Even after our first parents sinned, they couldn't provide for themselves so God had to give them protective clothes  (Genesis 3). From the fallen fathers unto this every generation, God has been our dwelling place because His Spirit lives in us.  Dwellings are to serve as protections. All needed protection from physical to spiritual can only be perfectl...

DEVOTION ~ POSITION YOURSELF WELL

Theme: Position Yourself Well  Text: Romans 16:17-20 17  Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.  18  For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.  19  For  y our obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.  20  And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ  be  with you. Amen. There are diverse beings on earth. Some are good as others are bad. Bad company corrupts good character and so as a Christian, you need to be alert the company you find yourself with. As the Apostle Paul admonished, you must note the behaviors of your companions. If the...

DEVOTION ~ YOU'RE PRESERVED!

Theme: You're Preserved! Text: Psalm 16:1-2 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.  2  O my soul,  you have said to the  Lord , “You  are  my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.” When we surrender unto God, we come under His protection. He preserves us even when we go through the bad and ugly pressures of life. The fact that we've become Christians isn't an assurance of a rosy life. It's rather the moment our affirmed faith is tested. It is during this moment the preservative Hands of God manifest.  To be preserved by God, you need to trust in Him. If you believe God is able to see you through life, you will trust Him to lead you. This trust has no room for doubts and fear. Rather, it is carried out effectively employing faith. What issues of life are weighing you down? Is it marital, children, bosses, neighbors, family, ministry, education, finances, emotional, psychological, health, etc? If you don't learn to handle them well, they w...

DEVOTION ~ THE NEW COVENANT

Theme: The New Covenant  Text: Jeremiah 31:31-34 31  “Behold, the  AW )" data-cr="#cen-NKJV-19723AW"> days are coming, says the  Lord , when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—  32  not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day  that   AX )" data-cr="#cen-NKJV-19724AX"> I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the  Lord .  33  AY )" data-cr="#cen-NKJV-19725AY"> But this  is  the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the  Lord :  AZ )" data-cr="#cen-NKJV-19725AZ"> I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts;  BA )" data-cr="#cen-NKJV-19725BA"> and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.  34  No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying,...

DEVOTION ~ THE BRANCH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Theme: The Branch of Righteousness Text: Jeremiah 23:1-6 “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the  Lord .  2  Therefore thus says the  Lord  God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your doings,” says the  Lord .  3  “But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.  4  I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking,” says the  Lord.   5  “Behold,  the  days are coming,” says the  Lord ,  “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness;  A King shall reign and Prosper,  and execute judgment and ...

DEVOTION ~ BE THANKFUL

Theme: Be Thankful Text: Psalm 75:1 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!  For Your wondrous works declare  that  Your name is near. We've been created to give thanks to God. Giving thanks to God is important in every believer's life. Make room to also be thankful for all that He has done for you.  The psalmist called upon the believer's of his day, to give thanks to God. Thanksgiving open divine doors in our life. Irrespective of the circumstances surrounding us, we need to give thanks to God. The saving Hands of God is very near to you, if you call on Him, He will come to your aid and deliver you. Never fail to give thanks to God, for His desire is to see you prosper in all things you do. Whenever you are challenged to give up on thanking God, just recall His wondrous works in your life. The more you ponder over His works in your life, it sparks up the flame to give thanks to the Lord. As a child of God, let the Words of 1 Thessalonians 5:18 be your strengt...

DEVOTION ~ CHOSEN - BE EQUIPPED!

Theme: Chosen - Be Equipped!  Text: Psalm 78:70-72 70  He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds;  71  From following the ewes that had young He brought him,  to shepherd Jacob His people,  and Israel His inheritance.  72  So he shepherded them according to the  integrity  of his heart,  and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands . For every passing seconds, God chooses us for a divine mandate. He has chosen you too for a purpose in His Kingdom. David was taken from the sheepfold to rule as king over Israel. God prepared him through the lessons of taking care of the flock. This enable David to understand what is means to give security and meet the needs of the people. God doesn't just push you to occupy a position. He prepares you both spiritually and physically for the assignment. Don't see the training moment as a torture. Rather learn from every lessen and build yourself up for the higher task....

DEVOTION ~YOUR HOPE WON'T BE CUT OFF!

Theme: Your Hope Won't be Cut Off  Text: Proverbs 23:17-18 17  Do not let your heart envy sinners, But  be zealous  for the fear of the  Lord  all the day;  18  For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off. The psalmist says, do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day. Who then is a sinner? A sinner is anyone who doesn't adhere to God's Word. Sin is sin irrespective of how small it may look before you. Don't envy those who prosper by usurping others, use dubious means to get promoted, or have what they want even when it goes against the will of God. Such people may be prospering on the outside (physical appearance) but their inner being is rotten that's why, you must not envy them. What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? That's what will actually happen to sinners. They'll lose their soul in the unquenchable hell fire. If you desire to esca...

DEVOTION ~WHAT DO YOU HEAR OR SEE?

Theme: What Do You Hear or See? Text: Proverbs 20:12 12  J )" data-cr="#cen-NKJV-16967J"> The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The  Lord  has made them both. Every organ of the human body is made by God to function for various purposes. The ears and eye aren't different. Our ears help us to hear and the eyes to see. They both play a great role in our communication with others. However, if we don't use them wisely, we won't be able to glorify God. The hearing ear is for us to hear from God and take Instructions. God speaks to us daily but if we fill our ears with news that are not of God, we often don't hear Him clearly. Eli never heard from God for long because his sons continually did the abominable. However, the little boy Samuel heard from God even in the midst of evildoers because his hearts is in line with God (1 Samuel 3). Abraham, Moses, and the prophets heard from God because they were attentive to God's voice than any other voice. You can a...

DEVOTION ~SEEK THE LORD!

Theme: Seek the Lord!  Text: 1 Chronicles 16:11 11  Seek the  Lord  and His strength; Seek His face evermore! We have our lives to live but imagine if the owner takes it, what's there left of us? It means we're dead. It's therefore important to draw near to the life giver. The life giver is God. The psalmist says seek the lord and His strength. How do we seek the Lord? Isaiah gave the reply to this question; " 6  Seek ye the  Lord  while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the  Lord , and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon (Isaiah 55:6-7)." While we still have breath, we need to seek the Lord. That's the time He could be found in our lives for after death, we can't change our ways. Dear beloved in the Lord, you need to start driving your energy on things of the Kingdom of God. To seek the Lor...
