DEVOTION ~ LOVE YOUR ENEMIES

Theme: Love Your Enemies  Text: Matthew 5:43-45 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. The ministry of Jesus Christ is built on love and His teaching on love is so deep it cannot be denied. Anyone who comes to Christ must learn to love others unconditionally. The initial law which people would have stand on to say an enemy must not be loved have been broken with the Word of knowledge from Christ.  We are admonished to love our enemies and not hate them. Love them because they are part of God's handwork. What we ought to hate is the evil they practice not the individual. It even explains to us that, this was the requirement ...

DEVOTION ~ THE EXTRA FOR CHRIST

Theme: The Extra for Christ  Text: Matthew 5:38-42 38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. Life's lessons can best be understood from biblical perspective. We are shaped to know what will become of us if we learn to be true disciples of Christ. Revenge does not only pay back evil to the person to whom it is meant but also leaves a scare of regret on the perpetrator. Christ cautions us not to pay back evil as it was in the past (an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth) but rather do good in return for evil. (Exodus 21:24; Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21) Christ has set a perfect example to...

DEVOTION ~ SWEAR NOT

Theme: Swear Not Text: Matthew 5:33-37 33 “Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ 34 But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35 nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. Ever been caught in situations where none believes your side of the story? To vindicate yourself, you often say; true for God or I swear. In the text for our consideration today, we will learn what Jesus has to say concerning swearing. To swear means to establish an oath of which you are obliged to fulfill or to invoke the name of (a sacred being) in an oath. The oath established binds the individuals involved (the one who swore and the witnesse...

DEVOTION ~ MARRIAGE

Theme: Marriage  Text: Matthew 5:31&32 31 “Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery." In today's devotion, we will be looking at marriage. Marriage is a sacred union instituted by God. The aim of God for this sacred union is that the two (a man and a woman) becomes one only to be separated by death. However, Moses was given the law that, a man can only issue a certificate of divorce for his wife on the ground that she's unfaithful. (Deuteronomy 24:1) Divorce is unacceptable before God according to the teaching of Jesus Christ. This is because, divorce brings about adultery. Dear beloved in the Lord, we ought to therefore as believers put measures in place as a family in the Lord to ensure before marriage, the bride and groom are ...

DEVOTION ~ ADULTERY IN THE HEART

Theme: Adultery in the Heart  Text: Matthew 5:27-30 27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. In today's devotion, we will be looking at, adultery in the heart. Sin does not just happens, it is conceived within the heart and mind, and then given birth to by manifestation or action. The seventh commandment reads, "You shall not commit adultery." Adultery is the sin of having sexual relationship with another person other than your spouse (...

DEVOTION ~ DON'T PROCRASTINATE

Theme: Don't Procrastinate  Text: Matthew 5:25&26 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. Glory be to God, it's another day to delve into the Word of God. We will be looking at the theme, don't procrastinate. Procrastination is being late in doing what should have been done earlier. It is the tool of the lazy man and sometimes a manifestation of pride and arrogance. The lazy man thinks there's enough time why won't he wait a little, the proud and arrogant man feels if he takes the initiative of pleading first he will be seen as weak so why won't he wait until an opportune time so he can do that. Dear beloved in the Lord, what ought to be done now, must be done for you can never tell what will happen the next sec...

DEVOTION ~ OFFER RIGHTLY

Theme: Offer Rightly   Text: Matthew 5:23&24 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.  In today's devotion, we will be looking at how to offer rightly in the presence of God. Offering is often done as giving back to the Lord in gratitude. It is usually a part of the fellowship process. The hand that stretches to give in the House of God, must have a clean heart and mind towards others. It is important to fulfill the commandment of love in the presence of God. You can't hold grudges against your neighbor and say you love God; if the brother or sister beside you whom you can see can't be shown love, how do you love God that you've not seen? In that regard, your offerings must be presented after you have reconciled with your brother or sister. Dear beloved in the Lord...

DEVOTION ~ MURDER NOT

Theme: Murder Not Text: Matthew 5:21&22 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. We are continuing our study in Matthew chapter five and for today's devotion, we will be looking at the theme, murder not. The sixth commandment talks about murder and it reads; "You shall not murder." Murder is not limited to just taking the life of another but can also be associated with anger and bitterness. (Exodus 20:13 & Deuteronomy 5:17) If your heart if filled with evil against others or you cause pain to others unjustly, you possess the spirit of murder. The actions you take and the hush word you used against your neighbors can kill them emo...

DEVOTION ~ CHRIST FULFILLS THE LAW

Theme: Christ Fulfills the Law Text: Matthew 5:17-20 17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Laws are given to guide individuals and a group to abide by the norm of a society or community. God has also given us His laws and commandments to shape us in life. Jesus said, He did not come to destroy the Law or the Prophets but to fulfil them. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who ...

DEVOTION ~ LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Theme: Light of the World  Text: Matthew 5:14-16 14  “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.   15  Nor do they   light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.   16  Let your light so shine before men,   that they may see your good works and   glorify your Father in heaven. In today's devotion, we will be looking at the theme, "Light of the World." Christ Jesus possesses life that gives life to all men. Anyone who is in Christ has this light to shine in the world. So, we are light to the world. The light of Christ in has set us as a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. The power of God upon our lives by the leading of the Holy Spirit keeps us firmly on high.  Just as you cannot lit a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, that it might give light to all, likewise must you continually shine in the world. As the ligh...

DEVOTION ~ THE SALT OF THE EARTH

Theme: The Salt of the Earth  Text: Matthew 5:14 13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Salt is both a preservative and flavor in food. It plays a vital role in ensuring food does not go bad (fish, cassava dough, etc) and also adds taste. In this world, the Christian is the salt. We are to preserve the earth and add taste (the fruit of the Spirit) to it to make it a better place for all. You must therefore not allow the unseasoned nature of the ungodly to make you lose our flavor: walking in the flesh will choke you, cause you to be blind, and blasphemous. Can anything meaningful manifest and be established in your life without God? The absence of the Holy Spirit in your life makes you good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. The study of the Word of God and meditating upon it daily enhances yoyr flavor.  Prayer: Fa...

DEVOTION ~ PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

Theme: Persecuted for Righteousness  Text: Matthew 5:10-12 10  Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,  for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  11  Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of   evil against you falsely for My sake.   12  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for   so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. In today's devotion, we will be looking at being persecuted for righteousness' sake. What it implies is that, you're suffering for choosing to walk rightly in all you do for the glory of God. Your decision to act godly will offend those who are ungodly. So, they will do whatever they have to do to make you uncomfortable in continuing to do good. But don't be discouraged, for the Righteous Judge will reward you greatly. (Luke 6:22&22) Dear beloved in the Lord, are you being streamlined at your workplace, neighbor...

DEVOTION ~ THE PEACEMAKERS

Theme: The Peacemakers Text: Matthew 5:9 9  Blessed  are  the peacemakers,  for they shall be called sons of God. In today's devotion, we will be looking at the peacemakers. Peace is a concept of societal friendship and harmony in the absence of hostility and violence. In a social sense, peace is commonly used to mean a lack of conflict (such as war) and freedom from fear of violence between individuals or groups. However, there's a peace that comes from God which is not as that of men, it's the inner peace in the heart: where one's spirit is at ease even in the midst of challenges.  (John 14:27) A peacemaker is anyone who reconcile parties in conflict to ensure peace. God's nature is divine reconciliation of sinners to Himself through Christ Jesus. If we can lead others to make peace with God through evangelism, then we are displaying the true nature of God which qualities us to be sons of God. We should also add the elements of reconciling families, friends, n...

DEVOTION ~ THE PURE IN HEART

Theme: The Pure in Heart Text: Matthew 5:8 8  Blessed  are  the pure in heart,  for   they shall see God. Purity is a nature of God, He has nothing to do with filt. As dearly beloved children of God, we need to have this nature by walking uprightly in all we do, seeking righteousness and speaking the truth in our heart, speech and in conduct. In so doing, we will resist any form of abomination and detestable of God.  Being pure in heart is a holy living, forsaking ungodliness: adherence to the commandments of the Lord not to serve any idol, not shedding innocent blood, not a deceitful person, not violent, but rather a peace loving person and a pius soul. In what state is your heart with God and men? Is it pure or deceitful? A deceitful heart cannot serve God faithfully, for the evil in that heart will lead the person astray. (Hebrews 12:14)  However with a pure heart, we will receive the reward of seeing God as did the prophets and some apostles of old...

DEVOTION ~ THE MERCIFUL

Theme: The Merciful  Text: Matthew 5:7 7  Blessed  are  the merciful,  for they shall obtain mercy. In today's devotion, we will be looking at the merciful. Being merciful implies showing mercy to whoever one ought to. Mercy means compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one's power. It could also imply compassionate treatment to those in distress. In this, mercy can be from a superior to a subordinate who hasn't been of good conduct or compassionate towards the needs of the subordinate in terms of work, family or financial issues; it could be touching the lives of the poor or needy to bring smiles on their faces.   As you lead others, be considerate to know much about them and do not be a mean leader. Forgive when your subordinate goes wrong and make them feel comfortable around you. Likewise when someone offends you, remember not to seek vengeance rather forgive. In the Lord's prayer, a line reads forgive us as w...

DEVOTION ~ RIGHTEOUS HUNGER AND THIRST

Theme: Righteous Hunger and Thirst Text: Matthew 5:6 6  Blessed  are  those who   hunger and thirst for righteousness,  for they shall be filled. It's another wonderful day by the grace of God and we will be looking at being hungry and thirsty for righteousness. It is a spiritual yearning to ensure that righteousness prevail on the surface of the earth. A psalmist said, as the deer pants for water so his soul longs after the Lord; a spiritual thirst for the Lord for it is this thirst that stirs righteousness. Righteousness is of God, not by carnality for the carnal cannot desire righteousness. (Psalm 42:1; Luke 1:53 & Acts 2:4) Righteousness is the quality of being right in the eyes of God in; character (nature), conscience (attitude), conduct (action), and command (word). The study of the Word of God stirs up the desire to hunger and thirst for righteousness. The Word gives insight of who the Lawgiver is as Isaiah inscribed;  For the  Lord  i...

DEVOTION ~ THE MEEK

Theme: The Meek  Text: Matthew 5:5 5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. To be meek does not in anyway imply being weak or vulnerable, rather the meek is anyone who is sacrificial in ensuring others have the best out of life. The meek seeks peace to prevail on the earth so as for all to have comfort. Are you meek or not? It takes more actions than words to just say you're meek. The reward to the meek is to inherit the earth. The earth is the Lord's and He will not give it to people who are careless or selfseeking. His original purpose for man is to have dominion and subdue the earth, and this He will perform in the meek. As inscribed by the psalmist; But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace (Psalm 37:11). Yes, whatever you labour in, you shall enjoy of its fruit. Prayer: Touch me Spirit of the Living God, to put others above me in all I do so as to fulfill the commandment of loving my neighbors. Give me th...

DEVOTION ~ COMFORT FOR MOURNERS

Theme: Comfort for Mourners  Text: Matthew 5:4 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. To mourn, is to be sorrowful over a lost, circumstance, or anything that breaks one down. In this devotion today, we will look at mourners in two perspectives as dear children of God. Mourners could be classified to represent physical mourners (those who have lost loved ones through death) and the spiritual mourners (those who sorrow for the things of the Lord - not pleased with evil happenings). Irrespective of the category you may fall, comfort shall come to you because you are mourning. (Isaiah 62:2; John 16:20; 2 Corinthians 1:7 & Revelation 21:4). Just as we sorrow over the death of relatives and friends, we need to also show sorrow for the death (decay) of godly values in society. If we mourn and lament about godliness while here on earth, comfort shall be ours in God's Kingdom someday. People may ridicule us, but if we stand firmly, the prophecy of Isaiah will be fu...

DEVOTION ~ THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Theme: The Poor in Spirit  Text: Matthew 5:1-3 5 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Jesus' ministry is characterized by teaching. He taught His disciples and the multitude that accompanied Him as He went round. He is the greatest teacher ever and there's none to compete with Him in this. In Matthew chapter five, we have been introduced to the beatitudes, a comprehensive teaching on the mountain. The first beatitude mentioned is the poor in spirit. The beatitudes are introduced with blessings and ends with a promise or an assured reward. To be poor in spirit means to be devoid of all spiritual arrogance; not being boastful or arrogant with one's spiritual gift. That's to say, though you're spiritually endowed, yet you do not pride in it to take glory, but you redirect all glory ...

DEVOTION ~ GOD'S HANDWORK

Theme: God's Handwork Text: Psalm 111:6-9 6 He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. 7 The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. 8 They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. 9 He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name. Our God is a wonder working God, He has been in the business of doing great things in the lives of His children. He declared the power of His works in giving the heritage of the nations. The miracles that locate us; healing, financial favors, academic excellency, family breakthroughs, amongst others declare God's mighty power. God perfects His work truthfully and justly in our lives without any error. From the beginning of time till now, we see the destruction of things but God's Word still stands strong; The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever...

DEVOTION ~ GOD CAN'T BE BRIBED

Theme: God Can't be Bribed  Text: Deuteronomy 10:17 17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. The world is full of corruption, unfortunately this menace has eaten into many. Many have been bribed to compromise their faith, ethics, values and integrity. This should not be the case for us as children of God. Our God, is the God above all gods and the Lord of lords. Everything is subject under Him and He takes no bribe.  Having taken on the nature of God through faith in Christ Jesus, we need not to just manifest it spiritually but physically so as to transform the world into a godly one. Understanding that, God has influence yet does what is right, should motivate us to also use our influence to do the right thing. Discrimination or partiality will only make us do the worse. In whatever capacity we serve, let us do what is expected of us as beloved children of God.  The nature of ...

DEVOTION ~ CHOSEN

Theme: Chosen  Text: Psalm 135:4-6 4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure. 5 For I know that the Lord is great, and our Lord is above all God's. 6 Whatever the Lord pleases He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places. From the beginning of time, God set out His rule for Israel that if they will indeed obey His voice and keep His covenant, then Israel shall be a special treasure to Him above all people; for all the earth is the Lord's. By the mercies of God, Christ gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify us for Himself as His own special people, who will be zealous for every good work in the Kingdom of God. We are therefore a great treasure haven been chosen as God's people. We must treasure what we have become in Christ and protect it dearly. (Exodus 19:5; Titus 2:14; Malachi 3:17) God cannot be compared with anything for He is King above all things. What God is able to do,...

DEVOTION ~ INCORRUPTIBLE INHERITANCE

Theme: Incorruptible Inheritance  Text: 1 Peter 1:3-5 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. We owe it all to God, in relation to who we have become in Christ Jesus. His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We are no longer of the world but of God. We are called to a royal priesthood and chosen as God's special people.  The inheritance in Christ is incorruptible and undefiled. We are adorn with righteousness to take up the nature of God. As the Word of God does not fail, so our inheritance does not fade away, but is reserved in heaven for us where moth an...

DEVOTION ~ SECURED ON ALL SIDES

Theme: Secured on all Sides  Text: Psalm 118:6 6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The presence of God provides security to us. Therefore dwelling in His presence brings victory. Having obtained grace in Christ Jesus after baptism, we are counted amongst the chosen of the Lord. We all need to fall on God's side so we can confidently say, if the Lord be for us, who can be against us? With the Lord on our side, fear has no place around us. Fear is replaced with faith. Faith usher us into our breakthroughs and testimonies. What can man do to us? The wicked will plot but the Lord will frustrate their evil enterprise and will even raise a standard against them. God can only be on our side if we believe in His Son and trust He will abide with us at all times.  Prayer: Abba! Father, thank You for calling me Your own. I surrender completely to You and ask Your presence abide with me in all things. I decree, I am secured on all sides by Your divine presenc...

DEVOTION ~ THE PURE COMMANDMENT

Theme:The Pure Commandment  Text: Psalm 19:8-11 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward. The Word of God to us, is right and pure. If we read it blindly or vaguely, we will always not be pleased with what the Word is communicating or understand its essence. The statutes of the Lord makes the heart rejoice for we find peace when adhering to it. The commandment of the Lord is pure; pure in the sense that, it enlightens the eyes of our understanding. It grant us wisdom and understanding as pilgrims on this earth teaching us which way to go just as a compass guides people on an adventure. The fear of the ...

DEVOTION ~ PRAISE YIELDS THE INCREASE

Theme: Praise Yields the Increase  Text: Psalm 67:5&6 5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. 6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. Praise is our expression of gratitude and respect towards God. In praising Him, we are demonstrating admiration of God's divine interventions in our lives. It can take the form of singing or appellation to God's glory. Once our praise is lifted, the glory of God fills our lives. The presence of God in our lives brings about fruition. The psalmist says, let the people praise You, then the earth shall yield her increase. Praise rains down the blessings of God in every area of our lives. As our praise goes up, His blessings fall on us making us prosper in all we do. God will bless us and multiply us greatly if we can continually give Him the praise due Him.  Prayer: Father, we are grateful for the things You've given us and even for those we still look up to. We honour Your Ho...

DEVOTION ~ EVERLASTING KINGDOM

Theme: Everlasting Kingdom  Text: Psalm 145:13 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. History has records of great and mighty empires and kingdoms of old, in this age and time, there's nothing left of those kingdoms. But that cannot be said of God's Kingdom, for it is an everlasting one. God is the King eternal, immortal, and invisible. He has existed before the earth and its kingdoms were established. The Kingdom of God is established in Jesus Christ, and as many as believe in Him, He gave power to be called sons of God. The citizenship of His Kingdom is faith which authenticates the identity of the believer. A God who lays down His life for His people has imprinted an unerasable mark in the heart of His subjects that lives forever. His dominion therefore endures throughout all generations. Prayer: Immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Eternal King may Your Kingdom come and ...

DEVOTION ~ THE PASSING WORLD

Theme: The Passing World Text: 1 John 2:15-17 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. To everything there's season and time; just as the lives of men and other living creatures come to an end, so this world will also pass away. There will be nothing anyone can boast in as his/her possession. Therefore, we ought to set our priorities right in what we take delight in. In choosing between the love of the world and God, whatever option we choose will result in the rejection of the other. Anyone who loves the world, takes delight in the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. These lustful desires are never satisfied no matter how it pushes one to ...

DEVOTION ~ ESTABLISHED IN PEACE

Theme: Established in Peace Text: Isaiah 26:12 12 Lord, You will establish peace for us, For You have also done all our works in us. God has all things under His control; humans, animals, and all things in nature. He determines the outcome of the season and what happens to things on the earth. Being the Prince of Peace, the Lord is able to give us peace. Peace can be enjoyed briefly if the Lord's mercy is not with us. We need to have an established peace in every area of our lives.  To be established means; to institute (something, such as a law) permanently by enactment or agreement,  to introduce and cause to grow and multiply, to bring into existence, to put on a firm basis,  to put into a favorable position, or/and to put beyond doubt (Merriam-Webster). If the Lord establishes us, no one can truncate it in any way. We must therefore ask God to establish us in every area of our lives with His divine peace.  Dear beloved in the Lord, we need peace in our homes, com...

DEVOTION ~ PRICELESS BUT FREE

Theme: Priceless But Free Text: Isaiah 55:1-3 55  “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,  come to the waters;  And you who have no money,  come, buy and eat.  Yes, come, buy wine and milk  without money and without price.  2  Why do you spend money for what is not bread,  and your wages for what does not satisfy?  Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,  and let your soul delight itself in abundance.  3  Incline your ear, and come to Me.  Hear, and your soul shall live;  And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—  The sure mercies of David. God has shown and proven many times that, as human as we are, we will always look upon our weaknesses and wretchedness never to draw closer to Him. However, He is merciful, loving and caring that He will accept us just as we are. It is only God, who can satisfy the thirst of our lives which will not cost us a thing. The c...

DEVOTION ~ IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH

Theme: In Spirit and Truth  Text: John 4:23&24 23  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will   worship the Father in   spirit   and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.    24  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. Praise be to God for the ever presence of the Holy Spirit who abides in us as promised by Christ. By the presence of the Holy Spirit, we are led by Him to worship God in spirit and truth. The spiritual worship do away with any form of carnality. Our spirits are tune to the leading of the Holy Spirit as we pray, sing to God's glory, serve in the presence of God, amongst other things that honour God's Holy Name and Kingdom. This is the kind of worship God requires of us. To have one accord with Him in all we do. By this worship in spirit and truth, it manifests in even our daily lives at home, community, workplace and the world at large. God is Spir...
