DEVOTION ~ PRAISE THE LORD!

Theme: Praise the Lord!  Text: Psalm 7:17 17 I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. Today marks the end of January 2021, it's been by the grace of God we are all alive. We need to be thankful to the Lord for seeing us through the valleys and mountains in our lives. God has been faithful in all His promises concerning us.  Don't hold back His praise today. Give Him the praise for the provision and protection throughout the month of January. Praise Him into the next month and He will do marvelous things in your life. Dedicate this day to sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.  Prayer: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”

DEVOTION ~ CORRECTING IN LOVE

Theme: Correcting in Love Text: Proverbs 17:9&10 9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends. 10 Rebuke is more effective for a wise man than a hundred blows on a fool. When a matter arises, usually everyone wants to speak to it. The manner in which this is done is very important to settling the issue at stake. If you're a person who always recall such unpleasant issue in every little conversation, that's unchristian of you. Your actions will separate friendships and inflict pain on both parties involved. However, he who covers transgressions seeks love. Covering transgression in this context is not in anyway aiding wrong doing but, ensuring that you do not excalate the issue to an unresolvable level. Giving good counsel and teaching both parties to resolve issues in the Lord directs the tone in love. When a person does evil in your sight, rebuke such a person than leaving him in his evil and reporting it to people. If you canno...

DEVOTION ~ THE PRESENT

Theme: The Present  Text: Proverbs 17:8 8 A present is a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor; Wherever he turns, he prospers. The heart of every man is gladden by the presence of gifts or presents. The best of gifts to man is Jesus Christ. It is an act of love from God (John 3:16). We ought to possess Christ with all joy. For in Him we are made complete. We have Christ and so are possessors of the gift of God. Let us value Him as a precious stone and give Him the best place in our heart, mind, spirit and life. With Christ, we will prosper in all we do. He has the name above every name and all authority in the heavens, on the earth, beneath the earth and the seas are subject under Him. Nothing can function without Him giving way.  Let's draw closer to the Father and lay hold of His precious gift for us. A chapter of your life without Christ is equivalent to a dead lion. You have no strength just as a dead lion cannot harm. May the Lord enlighten the eyes of our understa...

DEVOTION ~ REDEMPTION IS COSTLY

Theme: Redemption is Costly  Text: Psalm 49:6-9 6 Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches, 7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him— 8 For the redemption of their souls is costly, and it shall cease forever— 9 That he should continue to live eternally, and not see the Pit. Having wealth is not a sin, however putting your trust in your wealth above God is sinful. Taking pride in your possessions in every circumstance that comes your way and paying your way through cannot happen on the Day of the Lord. When your life is either required of you by death or God returns to judge the world, no amount of money can be paid to God to redeem your life. God cannot be bribed in any way. He is pure and just in all things. The parable about the rich man and Lazarus presents a clear picture of what becomes of a man who fails to heed to the commands of the Lord because of his many riches (Luke 16:19-31). The fathers of o...

DEVOTION ~ THE POWER OF GOD'S WORKS

Theme: The Power of God's Works Text: Psalm 111:6-10 6  He has declared to His people the power of His works,  in giving them the heritage of the nations.  7  The works of His hands are verity and justice;  All His precepts are sure.  8  They stand fast forever and ever,  and are done in truth and uprightness.  9  He has sent redemption to His people;  He has commanded His covenant forever:  Holy and awesome is His name.  10  The fear of the  Lord  is the beginning of wisdom;  A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.  His praise endures forever. God has over the years shown His power and great works amongst His own and even with the pagan nations. The deliverance of Israel from Egypt to the land of promise manifested how great and awesome God is. For us to understand it better, we need to relate it in our personal lives....

DEVOTION ~ THE EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF GOD'S POWER

Theme: The Exceeding Greatness of God's Power  Text: Ephesians 1:19-23 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. God's power is great (exceedingly great) that no other power can withstand Him. When we believe and trust the Word of God, this exceeding great power flows in us through the manifestation of the Holy Spirit within us. The miracles performed by Jesus, the apostles of old and even in our dispensation show clearly there's nothing impossible with God. The power of the r...

DEVOTION ~THE HOPE OF OUR CALLING

Theme: The Hope of Our Calling  Text: Ephesians 1:15-18 15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints Soul winning should not just end after leading the souls to Christ but much must be done to ensure these souls are firmly rooted in faith. There's the need to pray for these souls and as well seek for their spiritual nourishment. This has been perfectly done by the Apostle Paul and his team towards the Ephesians. It is the spiritual nourishment that awakes the souls of these ones to know their place in the Lord.  All spiritual and physical gif...

DEVOTION ~MY EXPECTATIONS

Theme: My Expectations  Text: Psalm 62:5-8 5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah There's none on the surface of the earth without expectations. Basically, our expectations are endless as we hope for new and bigger things as we advance in age. The manifestation of our expectations is in the Lord that's the main reason we must trust Him. When we seek to be protected, it is all from the Lord. The psalmist referred to God as his Rock, Salvation and Defense and so he shall not be moved. Yes! It is solely in the Lord we can attain salvation and the glory that comes with it. God gives us power and strength to overcome every storm in our lives. Therefore, the psalmist is right to say, ...

DEVOTION ~ THE OMNIPRESENT GOD

Theme: The Omnipresent God  Text:Psalm 139:7-12 7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. God has everything under His control from the time of creation to now. Nothing can be hidden from Him. The psalmist asked, "Where can I go from Your Spirit?" No one can flee from the presence of the Lord for He is every where at the same time. What a great God we serve. May His name be glorified. The Lord's throne is in heaven and so His presence is there. Christ's death revealed the...

DEVOTION ~ DIVINE SEAL

Theme: Divine Seal Text: Ephesians 1:13&14 13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Every important document that is dispatched is easily noticed by its seal. In the Christiandom, our seal is in the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised the disciples another Helper, Comforter, Guide, Advocate, etc (John 14:16-18) as He leaves them. When we also receive the message of God's saving grace, we acted in faith by believing in Jesus Christ. Dear beloved in Christ, if you don't have Christ, you can't have the Holy Spirit. And without the Holy Spirit, you have no guarantee to enter into the Kingdom. Don't be a cold or lukewarm Christian. Avail yourself and be on fire for the Lord. The seal upon you is more valuable than any other seal p...

DEVOTION ~ TOGETHER IN CHRIST

Theme: Together in Christ  Text: Ephesians 1:10-12 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In yesterday's devotion, we learnt that the Blood of Redemption is active and will give us victory in all things. Today, we are looking at how God will gather all things in Christ. Even before the birth of Christ, God revealed, He will give unto His own a common language;  “For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord (Zephaniah 3:9). On the Day of the Lord, the elect will be gathered together with the Lord. Dear beloved in the Lord, you can't af...

DEVOTION ~ THE BLOOD OF REDEMPTION

Theme: The Blood of Redemption  Text: Ephesians 1:7-9 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself The men of old depended on the blood of rams to wash their sins whenever they committed a sin. However in our dispensation, there has been one time sacrifice to cleanse us from every form of sin through Jesus Christ. Our redemption is solely in the Blood of Jesus where grace locates us so our sins will be pardon when we open it up to the Lord (1 John 1:9). The grace of God abounds in our lives and empowers us in weaknesses. By the grace we speak prophetically about our liberation in every area of our lives. As the Apostle Paul said, three times he has asked the Lord to take away his predicament but the Lord's reply is His grace is sufficient (2 Corin...

DEVOTION ~ CHRIST IS ALL THAT MATTERS

Theme: Christ is all that Matters  Text: John 5:20-23 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. In the Christian family, the Father is Jehovah God and the Son being Jesus Christ. Obedience is established in love and so as Christ obeys the Father, the Father's love also manifested in His life. The miracles Jesus performed and continues to perform all come from the Father. Our ministry cannot see growth, sings and wonders if we fail to have Christ. He is also the resurrection and the life (John 11:25) no one can receive eternal glory without Jesus. God will bring everyth...

ONE FLESH

Theme: One Flesh Text: 1 Corinthians 6:15-17 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. In yesterday's devotion we looked at the theme, "The Body of the Lord" where we learnt we must not subject ourselves to the liberty we enjoy but rather align ourselves to the body of the Lord. In today's devotion, we would looked at how we become one flesh with the things we associate with. Our bodies are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, and where the Spirit of God dwells, evil cannot inhabit. This means, the Spirit of God in you will by no means give room for filth to coexist with Him in your body. What is of Christ can never be likened to the harlot. So if you are joined to the harlot,...

THE BODY OF THE LORD

Theme : The Body of the Lord  Text: 1 Corinthians 6:12-14 12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. Having received Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour, we are one with the Lord. Our bodies are no longer ours but the Lord’s. We ought to therefore use it to His glory. We are lawful to all things but not all things are helpful. There's grace and liberty in Christ but wisdom must be applied in enjoying these. There are some things that are not helpful to the development of spiritual well-being, such things must not be entertained amongst believers. As the Apostle Paul puts it, "all things are lawful for me, but I will not be b...

DEVOTION ~ GOD'S EYES

Theme: God's Eyes Text: Jeremiah 16:17 17 For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes. Praise be to God for life and preservation. The Lord watches over us and our ways are not hidden from Him. The eyes of the Lord are always opened watching the deeds of men upon the earth. As a child of God, the Lord's eyes are fixed on you daily. He knows every move you intend to make and those you've made.  Ask yourself if your doings glory God. If they are not glorifying Him, then you need to do the right thing. God says, His eyes are on all your ways. Nothing is hidden from Him. He will bring to judgment every thing you have done whether good or bad (Ecclesiastes 12:13&14). Thanks be to the saving grace in Christ Jesus, you have the grace to confess your sins and the Lord is faithful and just to forgive you and wash you from them all (1 John 1:9). Fear God and keep His commandments by resisting sin in your dwelling....

DEVOTION ~ THE TIME OF LIFE

Theme: The Time of Life Text: Genesis 18:10 10 And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” King Solomon has stated there's time for everything under the sun (Ecclesiastes 3). This is very true in our lives. God has an appointed time for every event and it is only His will that prevails for no man can contend with Him (Ecclesiastes 6:10b). The Life of the Word of God is the light of men (John 1:4). No man can by himself exist if God does not give him life. So the life of men is enveloped in God's Hands. The Angel of the Lord told Abraham, He will certainly return according to the time of life. The time of life comes not by might, beauty, possessions, or anything except by the Spirit of the Lord. Your past, present and the future belongs to God. If you understand this, you will surrender it completely to Him. A surrendered life to Christ is a fulfilled life that experiences divine breakthroughs. With G...

DEVOTION ~ SATISFIED WITH GOODNESS

Theme: Satisfied with Goodness  Text: Ecclesiastes 6:3-6 3 If a man begets a hundred children and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not satisfied with goodness, or indeed he has no burial, I say that a stillborn child is better than he— 4 for it comes in vanity and departs in darkness, and its name is covered with darkness. 5 Though it has not seen the sun or known anything, this has more rest than that man, 6 even if he lives a thousand years twice—but has not seen goodness. Do not all go to one place? Satisfaction is what everyone seeks for in life. No one desires unsatisfaction in any area of his or her life. True satisfaction comes from God who blesses and establishes His own so they can be satisfied with goodness. The psalmist said bless the Lord O my soul; who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's (Psalm 103:5). If you are not having a walk with the Lord, your life will be full of misery. ...

DEVOTION ~ YOUR SUBSTANCES AND EVIL UNDER THE SUN

Theme: Your Substances and Evil Under the Sun  Text: Ecclesiastes 6:1&2 6 There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: 2 A man to whom God has given riches and wealth and honor, so that he lacks nothing for himself of all he desires; yet God does not give him power to eat of it, but a foreigner consumes it. This is vanity, and it is an evil affliction. The preacher of old king Solomon in his wisdom saw the vanities of many things and wrote them down for our reprove. In today's devotion, we will look at the evil under the sun in relation to the source of our substances and how we must make use of the substances given unto us. The source of every substance you have is God. You must learn to acknowledge Him for it and make use of it to the glorification of God. Substances can be money, talent, gift, ideas, concepts, innovations, marriage, children, career, educational successes, etc.  The earth is full of evil. Though some use dubious means to...

DEVOTION ~ THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD

Theme: The Beauty of the Lord  Text: Psalm 90:17 17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands. God is awesome and in all His doings, there is the manifestation of beauty. Take a good look at nature; the seasons, plants, animals and just list them. Everything in nature is beautiful. The beauty of God rests upon anyone who trust Him and have faith in Him. The psalmist understood that without God, nothing can be beautiful. He therefore requested for the beauty of the Lord. The beauty of the Lord is in His power and might. When His power rules in the fields of your life, you will experience bliss in whatever you lay your hands on to do.  If you desire to be established, then you need the beauty of God to give a touch to your labour. That touch establishes you and nothing can take it away. It is the spirit of God that gives life not the toils of the flesh (John 6:63). You can labour without ga...

DEVOTION ~ THE RULE CHANGING GOD

Theme: The Rule Changing God Text: John 5:5-15 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” 7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. 10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed.” 11 He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ” 12 Then they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?” 13 But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus found...

DEVOTION ~ DIVINE STIRRING

Theme: Divine Stirring  Text: John 5:1-4 5 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. The traditions of old are good and they divinely shape us to tap into the glory of God. The pool of Bethesda brings divine healing to anyone who is first to enter it after the angel of the Lord stirs it up. The manner of people by this pool are the sick, blind, lame, paralyzed and an endless list of infirmity waiting for their turn to get healed. God can use any means to reach out to His own and deliver them from their predicaments.  Dear beloved in the Lord,...

DEVOTION ~ GOD'S LOVINGKINDNESS AND FAITHFULNESS

Theme: God's Lovingkindness and Faithfulness  Text: Psalm 92:1&2 92 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night Have you ever considered how your life would have been without God? It would have been a great mess without remedy. But thanks be to God, for His lovingkindness and faithfulness. As the psalmist stated, it is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to His name. How effective is your thanksgiving and praises life? It can only be effective if you're grateful each morning and night for what God has done in your life. Waking up this morning is a miracle. Thank God for the breath of life. You didn't pay for it but there's someone struggling to breath or paying for oxygen just to keep breathing. You're not better off than such a person , it is just by grace. After you've done all you ought to do in the day whether you w...

DEVOTION ~ GOD WILL SET YOU ON HIGH

Theme: God Will Set You on High Text: Psalm 91:14-16 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” Serving God faithfully and trusting Him in all circumstances brings about open doors. To love the Lord is to obey His commands, doing what He expects of you as you go about your duties. He will deliver you when evil wants to consume you just like how the lions could not harm Daniel in the lions den but his adversaries were crushed even before they could reach the floor of the den (Daniel 6).  When God's deliverance comes, it births your elevation. God has the power to bring the proud low and to exalt the humble on high. If you walk in His will, He will set you on high. How are you going about the duties you've been assigned? I...

DEVOTION ~ THE OPERATIONS OF ASSIGNED ANGELS

Theme: The Operations of Assigned Angels  Text: Psalm 91:11-13 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. God's Word are Ye and Amen! Knowing this very well, the devil misquoted verse 11&12 in tempting the Saviour of the world after His fasting. The Lord responded with the truth to overcome him (Luke 4:11&12). God has made provision for angels to be charged over your life to deliver you from the schemes of the wicked.  The angels have been charged to keep you in all your ways. So long as you remain in the shelter of the Most High God, you will be assigned angels (Daniel 9:20-23; 10:10-15). They will watch over your life to ensure you're safe. When you have angels operating in your life, any calamity targeted at your life will be truncated; be it ...

DEVOTION ~ SECURED FROM EVIL

Theme: Secured From Evil  Text: Psalm 91:7-10 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling When you dwell under the wings of the Lord, you receive divine protection. The Lord positions you well to experience His deliverance and see the end of the wicked. The wicked perish anytime they attempt to attack you because they need to fight the Lord first before they can fight you. The Protector of your life can never be defeated, He will slay the wicked with His sword and they will fall to the ground.  Evil will befall the wicked who surround you, but you will be safe because of God's hedge covering. Just like the Goshen experience, when destruction comes upon the wicked, it will not come n...

DEVOTION ~ REFUGE UNDER GOD'S WINGS

Theme: Refuge Under God's Wings  Text: Psalm 91:3-6 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. In yesterday's devotion, we studied on how to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. We are continuing today with taking refuge under His wings. As children of God, we are not promised a challenge free live, rather God assured He will be with us throughout our struggles. His Word is a weapon to employ to overcome the adversary.  When the wicked rise up against you, it is only God that can protect you from their evil plots. He will deliver you from the traps and manipulation of the wicked. As the hen stretches out its wings over...

DEVOTION ~ ABIDE UNDER GOD'S SHADOW

Theme: Abide Under God's Shadow  Text: Psalm 91:1&2 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” It's difficult for anyone to take shelter in an unfamiliar place. This is because he/she can't be sure what might happen to him/her while there. It is therefore important to chose wisely where you take shelter. The psalmist says, if you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, you shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. If you don't dwell in God, you can't abide under His shadow. The best way to dwell in God, is through His Word.  Dwelling in God's Word provides a divine shelter for you. The Word is Christ and if you have fellowship with Him, you will constantly dwell in His presence through the study of His Word and doing what He has instructed you to do. As you delve deeper into the study of the Word of God, t...

DEVOTION ~ DWELLING IN UNITY

Theme: Dwelling Together in Unity  Text: Psalm 133:1-3 133  Behold, how good and how pleasant it is  for brethren to dwell together in unity!  2  It is like the precious oil upon the head,  running down on the beard,  the beard of Aaron,  Running down on the edge of his garments.  3  It is like the dew of Hermon,  descending upon the mountains of Zion;  For there the  Lord  commanded the blessing—  Life forevermore. We've been called into a ministry laid on the foundation of love. Jesus is the Head of this ministry and we are His beloved bride. Being a part of this ministry implies, you have agreed to walk with the Lord. The mark of identity is love and unity. Set it in your heart to pursue this goal in the year to live in unity with all. It's pleasant for you to dwell in unity with others because it brings about peace. The oil upon a concecreted head flows in unison. There's no dist...

DEVOTION ~ PERFECTING HOLINESS

Theme: Perfecting Holiness Text: 2 Corinthians 7:1 7 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. God has called us into his marvelous glory but we cannot abide with Him in sin. We need to do away with sin and pursue the the wiil of the Lord. Jesus has promised to return one day, a day which  is hidden from us. We ought therefore to be alert and prepared for His second coming. To prepare for the Lord is to cleanse ourselves from filthiness of the flesh and spirit. The filthinessof of the flesh is evident for every one to see. These include; drunkness, fornication, adultery, idolatry, murder, gossiping, stealing and all the carnal works stated in Galatians 5:19-21. Once we practice these fleshly filthiness, it blindfolds us spiritually by making us weaker and exposing us to practicing evil. Falling on horoscope, astrologers and evil mediums to foretell the future, current happ...

DEVOTION ~ COMPLETE SURRENDER

Theme: Complete Surrender  Text: James 4:7-10 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Praise the Lord! His mercies has made it possible for us to start a new year (January 1, 2021). As we commence the year with many aspirations, there's the need to look at our relationship with God as well. A well established relationship with God entails a complete surrender to God irrespective of what may come our ways. Surrender begins with submission. To avail yourself for the Holy Spirit to use you happens with a humble heart ready to serve. When you submit to God, it means accepting His will and obedient to His commands. This drives you to resist the devil's deceit and depar...
